Notes:This Angel bears the description of a "cubed" shape being. EVA-01 was shot at by an extremely powerful beam from the Angel during it's ascent. Pilot and EVA damaged. Commander Katsuragi carried out "Operation Yashima" during midnight. EVA-00 with Ayanami Rei piloting it and EVA-01 with Ikari Shinji piloting it is ordered; EVA-01 will try to destroy the Angel with the experimental proton rifle, and EVA-00 was to protect it with the shield. EVA-01 missed on the first shot but connected on the second. Drained 1/2 of Japan's power on the way. EVA-00 sustained the first Angel blast, resulting in heavy damages but pilot survived. Ayanami Rei and EVA-00's first combat debut.
