There -was- a fansub of the Sakura Taisen anime in production, but it
was halted when ADV Films (www.advfilms.com) announced that they'd
acquired the U.S. rights to it and were planning to sell it. It should
be available early next year.
As for the game, it's for the Sega Saturn, and can be had for as little
as $29.95 (www.buyrite1.com, though their shipping practices are a
little iffy) and is one hell of a good game. It's not at all in the
same vein as Rayearth-- Sakura Taisen's a little more complex,
story-wise, and takes place in a fictional "alternate" version of the
imperial capital circa the 1920s, rather than an alternate world.

Ruri-chan is a pasty-faced waif, but I like her sense of humor.
