Yeah, it is the necessary trade off. I think the polygon koubu look cool
personally which goes against my first impressions of watching a tv ad special
attack. ST2 does make use of a lot more effects than the first game ever did.
Everything looks cleaner, more refined. Fortunately battles are the only really
long load times. The only time loading gets to be a b#tch is during the boss
fights especially when Saki replicates her mecha and maxes her special meter.

I liked Kanna's a lot too. The bambo forest opening up and her tiger attack look
really cool:) Maria's was awesome with that old style movie. Least favorites
have to be Sumire's first version, and Iris's. Those just didn't have the
dynamic feel the others have.

Doubt it, doesn't look like there are any slots or selectable text to goto
another option to replay those.

A lot of the cg looks recycled from the first game with Rolling Thunder, and I
could do without the Koubu moving about. It's not like Red was worried about
length, perhaps some of the cg was reused due to time constraints? The later
stuff isn't too bad. The Mikasa assembling is visually impressive but I gotta
blow the whistle on technology here. Even in this day and age there isn't
anything that massive in the air.
