Agreed. And when fighting the final big boss become a chore as opposed to
a nail biting, intense experience, then the game design has some problems.
When I was playing through the final stages, I was entertaining myself by
using the special combined attack as much as possible. This is not to say
I don't love ST2, it has its bright moments, and it is a worthy sequel to
ST. It's just that I think it could have exceeded ST by just a couple
minor tweaks.
