what's Sakura Taisen without girls and mechs?<<

Actually, I think it'd be a GOOD idea because Sakura Taisen is, in essence,
still an anime series with interaction. All the episodes in both games were
written as if for a full season of TV broadcast, and while there are those
players who could care less about the story and only want battles, dating sim,
and fast load time- there are SOME of us who enjoy the story and character
interaction. There's more to Sakura Taisen than steam mecha <g>. Sakura 2
covered even more elements of the Great Kouma War in the development of the
story than were discussed in Sakura 1, but I, for one, would also enjoy the
full tale of the Anti-Kouma Group.

I almost consider Sakura 1 and Sakura 2 as "TV series", and the Hanagumi
Tsushin, Columns, and Steam Radio Show stories as supporting "OAVs". You have
to take it all as a whole world (including the REAL video OAVs)- and doing
"back story" would not necessarily be boring <g>. Might even be a refreshing
change.
