Sakura Wars: Awards and Accolades

Sakura Taisen is unquestionably the best and most popular Saturn game ever in Japan. Besides being a best-seller, it has won various awards and honors. Below you'll find a partial list of those that I know of. Please let me know if I missed anything ^_^

CESA Awards

Sakura Taisen was the star of Japan's prestigious CESA (Computer Entertainment Software Association) Awards for 1996, which were revealed at the 1997 Tokyo Game Show (4/4/97-4/6/97). Besides winning the Grand Prize, Sakura Taisen also won in 3 other categories:

    Sakura Taisen has been #1 on Famitsu Reader's Choice poll for quite some time (Famitsu is the best gaming magazine in Japan), beating out Final Fantasy VII and Tokimeki Memorial for the Playstation.
