Shoten was the doujinshi drawn by CLAMP in the late 1980s.  Publications were made less than quarterly a year, and here are some scans of the doujinshi from Winter 1988 to Summer 1990.  It was a rather funny production that really get to you if you are familiar with CLAMP's early works, such as 20 Menshou ni Onegai, CLAMP Campus Detectives, Combination, Rg Veda and Tokyo Babylon.  CLAMP had started this before the production of Derayd, and their art work in the doujinshi had been very much experimental.  However, by the time Tokyo Babylon was out, CLAMP had already mastered the skill of drawing which most of us have come to love.  In fact, the final Shoten issue looks almost identical to any Tokyo Babylon product you might come across.  A note here is that CLAMP seems to develop early the preference in exploring homosexual bondings between many of their handsome male characters. If this would offend you, please leave now; but then you shouldn't be considered a true CLAMP fan: homosensuality is almost everywhere in CLAMP's works. ^_^;;
