Tell me a fable...?
Once upon a time, there was a Prince riding a white horse. He came upon a child, suffering from unbearable sorrow. Pitying her, he kissed away her tears, and encouraged her to go on living. As a token of their meeting, he gave to her his signet ring, and a promise: "This ring will lead you to me." Then, the Prince left the girl. But she vowed, by the grace of God, that not only they would one day meet again, but that she herself would become as a Prince. Holding tightly to this precious memory, the child grew to become a noble young woman, strong in body and spirit.

The girl-Prince was sorely tested, as she became the champion of a mysterious Princess. Through all the challenges against her, she held firm to her dream. Until the day when he, the Prince of her memory, returned. Although they were now happily reunited, alas, he had changed, become dark and worldly, and he tried to change her as well. She resisted, struggling to defeat the acts of the dark Prince... but she failed. (Or did she?)

It was the end of her childhood. It was the End of the Innocence.
