| There are several incarnations of this manga. The orignal Dominion I have yet to read, but have a copy of it on order and should be getting it soon. The newest Dominion saga, Conflict 1: No More Noise, has just finished being released by Dark Horse/Studio Proteus. There are also two OVA series, Dominion and New Dominion (in the US, these are also called Tank Police). The constant in all of these is Leona, a tomboyish bike cop who has joined the Tank Police division of the Newport Police Department and her mini-tank Bonaparte They fight crime, don't you know. Oh, and sometimes enemies and sometimes allies, the Puna sisters, Ani and Uni - felinoid androids who really know how to take care of business (the business of making money, that is). Other than that, the plots and stories do differ significantly. More lighthearted than most Shirow works, and he tends to keep the dialogue rather simple too. |
