INTRON DEPOT 1
Intron Depot For any Shirow fan, this is the must-have item. Nearly 200 reproductions of many of his paintings, nearly all in color. From his early work through to 1991, this is a tour through his style and form. Many of the paintings have never been seen in the US! This book just goes to show how well Shirow can paint babes and 'bots. A second volume is hinted at. Note that Exon Depot is actually a group of small vignettes without text and is different than Intron Depot.
As of this date (7 September 1998), Intron Depot 2: Blades is about to be published in Japan. It will involve more fantasy-based compositions than the previous sci-fi heavy ones from the first volume, or so I'm told. (Thanks to Edmund Tan for the info). While I don't know what the US status of the publication will be, I'm fairly certain that it will be published in a bilingual (English/Japanese) version that can be easily imported, so talk to your comic/anime shop owner about it in a couple of months.
Intron Depot is published by Seishinsha (Japan). Sometimes copies can be ordered from Dark Horse Comics.
