ABOUT VIDEO GIRL AI

The Video Girl Ai Manga is written and drawn by the notable Manga author Masakazu Katsura. It consists of a compilation of 15 volumes, first published by Shueisha between the period of 1990 - 1993. The first 13½ volumes is about Video Girl Ai, 1 volume's worth is on Video Girl Len and ½ volume is on Video Girl Haruno. A highly successful series, it had since been translated into English, Chinese and French.

The Video Girl Ai Anime was released in 1992 in the form of 6 Original Video Animation (OVA), each of which is roughly half hour long. It was jointly produced by Masakazu Katsura and I.G. Tatsunoko. Based on the Manga, it follows the story up till the beginning of Manga vol. 3. Generally following closely the plot in the Manga, there are some small deviations that where made to suit the shorter story of the animation. The most significant changes where made at the end of the Anime for the purpose of a dramatic ending.
