Ronin Warriors - The Dark War

Part 9: Counter Strike

As the dark ominous clouds grew over Tokyo, the Ronin's and former Warlords pondered what should be done. They were weak from their battle with the Dark Inferno, could they take on another savage attack from the Nether World.

"I don't think its the Dynasty," Sekhmet stated, "this isn't Talpa's style."

"Draka?" Kayura questioned.

"I think so."

"Great, we are still weak from our fight with Talpa's forces and now we have to face Draka's. And I still don't have my Inferno Armor!!" Ryo interjected.

Saber Strike turned to Ryo, "This is no time to complain. We are needed in this struggle and we must be there. We were given these gifts of armor and weapons to fight evil when needed not at our own convenience."

"All right. Fine. I guess you have a point. Ronin Warriors. TO ARMS!!"

"ARMOR OF WILDFIRE!!"

"ARMOR OF STRATA!!"

"ARMOR OF HALO!!"

"ARMOR OF TORRENT!!"

"ARMOR OF HARD ROCK!!"

"ARMOR OF VENOM!!"

"ARMOR OF CORRUPTION!!"

"ARMOR OF ILLUSION!!"

"DOW CHI!!"

Kayura, remaining in her usual armor, and Saber Strike watched the Ronins powering up. They surged with energy as their armor formed around them. First the gauntlets formed followed by the body armor. Next the leg armor formed up, followed by the helmets and weapons.

A small heavily armored air ship hurried to the city of Tokyo. Inside was a band of commandos sent by the United Nations to try to put a stop to the Dynasty once and for all.

"All right men, listen up!" Shouted Major Jonathan Wolfe.

"We touch down on Tokyo soil in 20 minutes. I want you suited up in armor and ready to go NOW. You have special dampening devices built into your armor and weapons so that Talpa can not control them. NOW MOVE, MOVE, MOVE."

The commandos immediately began suiting up in their armor, and preparing their weapons for their first fight against what they believed to be the Dynasty.

The Ronin Warriors and former Dark Warlords stalked through the city of Tokyo searching for sings of Draka's forces. A dark mist rolled past and revealed a hoard of Draka's troops.

"Heads up guys we've got company," Kento yelled.

The Ronin Warriors and Dark Warlords charged Draka's soldiers and began to push them back.

Kento leaped up and swiped three soldiers across the chest with his staff. The soldiers fell easily. One soldier came up behind Kento and slammed his sword into Kento's back. The Warrior of Strength fell and two more of Draka's soldiers leaped at him with their spears. Kento rolled out of the way just as the spears hit the ground. Kento stood up quickly and jumped back. "IRON ROCK CRUSHER!!" The street was ripped apart and so were many of Draka's soldiers by the force of Kento's attack.

"Take that!" Ryo screamed as he impaled one of Draka's soldiers on his katana. Ryo spun around and slashed three more of Draka's soldiers down with his twin katanas. Two more of Draka's soldiers jumped at Ryo but he leap back. "FLARE UP NOW!" he yelled. Massive flames shot from Ryo's swords and melted the soldiers into slag.

"WEB OF DECEPTION!!" Dais yelled as his extensor blades shot forward. The energy emitted by Dais's extensors entangled several of Draka's soldiers. Dais pulled the morning star from his right gauntlet and used it to take down the soldiers that he had ensnared.

The airship landed in a clear street in Tokyo. Draka's soldiers began to surround it. The side hatch opened and two of Wolfe's commando's ran out firing. Draka's soldiers were quickly dispatched by the commandos. The rest of the strike team exited the ship.

"That seemed easy enough but watch out. Stay together and maintain communications. I want to know what is happening at all times. Alpha team your with me. Beta team you go east. Gamma team you go west. Delta team you go south. NOW LETS MOVE. We have a city to clear out." Wolf yelled.

Wolfe's soldiers obeyed and they began to spread out though Tokyo.

Wolfe and his squad went north. As they entered what was once a major street in Tokyo several of Draka's soldiers jumped at them from the tops of the surrounding buildings.

"Up there." Shouted Wolfe pointing at the attacking soldiers.

The commandos spun around and started hammering the soldiers with rounds. By the time the soldiers reached the ground they were scrap.

"Its not over," one of the commandos yelled as he shot a grenade into a group of Draka's soldiers.

"Go that way quick," Wolfe yelled, as his team was being surrounded by Draka's troops.

Wolfe's team regrouped and finally began to push ahead though Draka's army. Wolfe knew that they had to take out these soldiers faster than they were doing right now or they would soon be overwhelmed.

"Alright people time to move up to the heavy artillery. Lets try out these experimental laser cannons." Wolfe drew the laser rifle from the holster on its power pack, which was strapped to Wolfe's back. The Major pointed and fired. He was quite pleased as the laser cut down many of Draka's troops with great ease.

The other commandos followed suit and soon the had Draka's forces on the run.

"Sir," one of the commandos interrupted.

"Yes," stated Wolfe.

"Look at these helmets and armor. They don't match anything we have seen on Dynasty soldiers before."

"So we may not be fighting the Dynasty at all?"

"Exactly. Also these attack patterns don't match the Dynasty."

"Your right, the Dynasty takes a place, fortifies it, and then moves on. The Dynasty would never attack 15 cities simultaneously. Well then the question is now: Who are we fighting?"

Suddenly Wolfe caught site of a massive explosion in the distance. "Lets move we have go to see what caused that."

The Ronin and former Warlords continued to fight off Draka's soldiers. The Ronin had already managed to wipe out many soldiers but they still had a long way to go. An eerie mist rolled in revealing more and more of Draka's soldiers.

Suddenly the new hoard of troopers fell to the ground. In their wake was Wolfe and his commando team.

"Well, well, some more Nether World soldiers," Wolfe stated.

"Hey! We don't work for the Nether World," Ryo yelled.

"Oh, yeah, like I'm going to believe some people wearing mystical armor."

"Look. We are the Ronin Warriors. We defended this world from Talpa's previous invasion and we are trying to stop him again."

"Nice try but Talpa is dead, these soldiers aren't from the Dynasty."

"Talpa is very much alive. But you are correct these aren't Dynasty soldiers, they are Draka's soldiers."

"Who is Draka?"

"Another Emperor from the Nether World."

A blinding flash of energy appeared above the Ronins and Wolfe's commandos. As the energy faded Hikaro, a warlord for Draka, appeared.

"How convenient, I get to kill off the Ronins and some pathetic mortals at the same time," Hikaro boasted.

Hikaro landed and his gauntlets began to crackle with energy as he prepared to face off against both the Ronins and Wolfe's commandos.

"Lets dance." Kento yelled, charging Hikaro with his staff.

Hikaro side stepped and grabbed hold of Kento's staff as he charged. "Fine by me." Hikaro swung Kento's staff, with Kento still holding on, into a near by building.

"Was that suppose to be a challenge?" Hikaro mockingly questioned.

Ryo and Sage leaped toward Hikaro with their swords drawn and ready to strike. Hikaro held up his hands and sent fort a shock wave that knocked Ryo and Sage back.

Kayura jumped into the air with her Star Light Swords. "Feel the power of my Starlight Swords." Kayura attached the swords hilt to hilt and began twirling them around. From the swords flew a million tiny but potent sparks of energy. Hikaro cringed as he was hit from every direction by the Starlight energy.

"DARK NETHER FLAME!" Hikaro screamed as his hand shot forth a blast of blue black energy at Kayura. Kayura fell to the ground in pain from the force of the blast. Hikaro looked at her and laughed, "That's what you get, weakling, if you tangle with the power of Draka."

Wolfe ran forward while Hikaro was boasting. He set his laser cannon on full and fired at Hikaro. Hikaro was thrown back into a near by building by the force of the bast. Wolfe grabbed an armor piercing grenade from his belt and pulled the pin. Wolfe threw tossed it at Hikaro.

Hikaro still struggling to get up from the force of the laser blast was again blasted into a wall by the force of the grenade. He staggered to his feet once again. "Now I'm angry. SPHERE OF ANNIHILATION!"

Energy cracked all around Hikaro and began to form into a massive expanding sphere. The valiant warriors ran back as the sphere engulfed and disintegrated everything in a thirty foot radius.

Saber Strike jumped into the air. "WINGED ANGLE OF DEATH!" Saber Strike's swords began to glow and shot forth a massive energy vortex at Hikaro.

Hikaro staggered up. "You have beaten me this time but you cannot even fathom the power that Draka possesses. His plans will be realized and you will all be crushed." Hikaro stood up and teleported away from the battle site.

Wolfe turned to the Ronins, "My commandos have almost completely routed this city of Draka's soldiers. I would like to join up with you team to help bring down Draka and Talpa."

Kayura stepped forward, "You are a strong and knowledgeable warrior, we welcome you to our team."

"But what about your troops?" Kento asked as he stood up.

"They will always be around in case we need backup in major fights."

"Sounds good to me."

The warriors of light, injured from their many battles against the Nether World left the now free city of Tokyo and headed towards Mia's house where they could plan their next move against the evil which now threatens the world.
