(Legend of Inferno)
Part 4: Kanoshimi o Koeru Mono o Motomerte (Please Cross Over the
Sadness)
----- Part four of the OAV begins with Mia, Yuli,
and Nadia collecting flowers. Nadia is going to use them to make medication
to treat Ryo and Sage. Yuli gives the medicine to Ryo. Yuli cries
because he doesn't think the medicine will work. Nadia comforts him
saying to believe in the medicine.
----- Later on there are vultures flying around
outside and crowing. Yuli comes up and throws a torch at them scarring
them off. Yuli notices something shining in the forest. Yuli
watches the figure as it comes forward. Its Sai (How he got there in
such short time we'll never know. Teleportation maybe??) He is
completely wet and holding his transformation orb in his hand. Yuli
runs up to him and tries to tell him about what has been happening. Sai
holds up his hand and this weird light thing flashes. The vultures
are scared off for good and his cloths are now dry (I don't get it. Do
you??)
----- Sai walks in and sheds a tear when he sees
the other Ronins (awwww). Suddenly all the Ronin's kanji appear on
their foreheads and then then drift off to sleep.
----- Nadia tells the Ronins about her and Mukara's
families. Her family has always been the high priestess of the armor,
while Mukara's has been the village's protector. Mukara was never suppose
to have even worn the armor (anyone stop and wonder why the heck someone
would make an armor that wasn't suppose to be worn??) Mukara, however,
went to the vally and discovered the Black Inferno armor. The Black
Inferno Armor wanted to fight the White Inferno (I didn't know armor's were
sentient and had wants) so it possessed Mukara and made him bring the White
Armor here. The armors are now running wild with wills of their own.
Nadia says that Mukara never controlled the armor and then runs out
of the house.
----- The next morning the Ronins are outside
talking with Sai. White Blaze suddenly appears. Sai armors up
to his sub armor. White Blaze roars and Black Blaze separates completely
from him. The roar causes the Torrent armor to be pulled from Sai.
Black Blaze catches the transformation orb in his mouth and walks
off.
----- The Ronins look to each other and realize
that they are going to have to fight. They have seen the effects of
an armor with no heart to guide it. And it must be stopped, no matter
the cost. Nadia tries to convince Mukara that fighting is a mistake.
Like any good dictator he has her locked up. Mia and Yuli return
from gathering water only to find that Nadia and the Ronins are gone. The
tribesmen shoot at them with arrows but White Blaze jumps in and saves them.
The tribesmen shoot White Blaze until he collapses.
----- In the valley with all of the black crystals
Mukara meets up with Black Blaze. Black Blaze gives Mukara the Torrent
transformation orb and then vanishes. Mukara goes about putting each
of the Ronin Armors in a crystal formation. Mukara summons the Black
Armor. The Ronin armors begin to glow and the White Inferno Armor is
forming inside the previously mentioned patch of white crystals.
----- The Ronins arrive on the scene only to find
the White Inferno armed with Soul Swords. Things are definitely looking
bad. The White Inferno leaps high on top of a mountain of crystal.
The sun and the moon come together to make a solar eclipse. All
kinds of flames erupt on the ground. Pillars of fire and all kinds
off cool apocolyptian stuff. This is not a good sign.
----- The Ronins look at the White armor and remember
moments most dear to them. Kento remembers a time he was mountain climbing.
Sai remembers meeting a whale. Sage remembers winning a race
car tournament. Rowen remembers sleeping with a big dog under a tree.
Ryo remembers his first battle (from episode 1, where he fought the
Dynasty Soldier). Finally another picture appears of them in their
sub armor with hands together.
----- The Ronins call upon their armors which
break out of the crystals and form up around them. None of the armors
have their helmets this time. I have heard that this is suppose to
symbolize that their hearts are in control of the armors, but I've never
been very good at interpreting stuff. Sai's special attack is absorbed
and shot right back at him. Rowen lets a few arrows fly at the Inferno
Armor and they just bounce off. Kento's staff breaks when he hits Inferno.
Ryo and Sage both attack the Inferno and manage to pin its swords and
Rowen whacks it with his bow, but it just blasts them away with an energy
discharge (yep its some buffed armor).
----- Ryo figures out that they can't win by force
alone. They join the power of their hearts and use that to remove the
corruption on the White Armor. Mukara watches with shock. Then
the Black Inferno rises up behind Mukara, and takes control of him again.
The Ronins call upon the White armor. The battle of the century
is about to begin.
----- Back in the village White Blaze (shouldn't
he be dead?) busts out of prison with Nadia on his back. Mia and Yuli
are running after him. Nadia begins to tell the villages that they
should not worship the Black Inferno armor.
----- Now the battle starts. Ryo and Mukara
begin to go at it full force. Ryo asks Mukara to open his eyes and
see what he is doing. He doesn't listen and just smiles. Mukara
swings his boomerang and Ryo blocks with the Soul Swords. Both weapons
are destroyed. They take to the air and continue to beat the crap out
of each other. Ryo hits Mukara's face mask and shatters half of it.
In return, Mukara rips off half of Ryo's face mask.
----- Nadia, Mia, Yuli, and White Blaze head off
to the battlefield (like they can do anything). Nadia pleads with Mukara
to stop again. The two Inferno's run towards each other and collide
causing a massive blast with vaporizes Nadia and White Blaze.
----- Ryo and Mukara are standing still facing
off in their busted up Armors. They are breathing heavily and still
ready to go at it. The whole battlefield is leveled except for a big
crater. Ryo ponders how he can end this fight without destroying the
world in the process. Mukara holds a piece of Nadia's yellow sash and
screams in anguish. Ryo calls to the Ronins to send their hearts to
Mukara so that he can break free from the control of the Black Inferno.
The six are able to undo the eclipse and force the two armors together.
Both Inferno Armors are destroyed. Black Blaze turns and walks
away.
----- So the White and Black Inferno armors are
scrap. The Ronin's Armors are scrap. Shafts of light pierce the
clouds and the scene gets happier as Mukara regains control of himself.
Where the light shafts hit the ground the Ronin armors form and then
dissipate revealing White Blaze (he really should be dead by now, I think
that is his 4th life, Saber Strike Killed him, He was killed by Arrows, He
was vaporized, yep that makes 4 lives.) White Blaze walks away to reveal
Nadia. Mukara walks towards her holds out his hands and says "Nadia."
----- That's it folks. All the Armors are
scrap metal now. The Ronins are stuck as normal people. We never
did find out much about the Black Inferno. All in all, a crappy ending
to what was a good story.
