A little about me

----- Ok so your probably asking just who is this guy who makes the site. Well, my name is Alexander Vandell. I am now a 1st year Pharmacy student at the University of Georgia.

----- That isn't me, its Galvatron. Wish it were me though. I hope its a reasonable substitute for a picture of me. And besides this couldn't be a site I made if it didn't have a Galvatron picture on it somwhere.

----- I bet your wondering if I'll post a picture of me in REAL LIFE. The answer is a resounding no. The reason is simple. I don't have any up to date pictures of myself. And I wouldn't want you to see an old picture. So with that behind me we shall move on to other things.

The Site

This site started back in the summer of '97 on my old account at Furman. I now have an exact date of birth for the site: 7-31-96. (looked it up from my old history log at furman) It then moved to geocities for about a month, was caught in the great Geocities crash, and then was rebuilt in geocities. Early '97 the site moved to pcbank. Now the site has moved once more to interspeed. But those people cheeted me. So I moved the site to simplenet. (the official date it went up is 12-2-97 at 11:22am EST). Well since simplenet sucked I've moved this place again. This time to Xoom. Official date of startup is Labor Day of 1998.

Question: Why did you make this site?

I originally planned it as a tribute to the villians on the show. It just sort of grew from there. My goal now is to have the most kick ass Ronin Warriors / Yoroiden Samurai troopers web site ever made.

Question: Why do you keep adding stuff here? Like the major expantion with the archives?

It gives me something to do and to feel good about. This site has become a major motivating force for me.

Question: Can I have your autograph?

Um no.

Question: Why is there no movie of Rowen Powering up?

He never had a stand alone power up.

Question: Why did you lie to us about the Rowen Powering up movie?

I didn't lie, there is no stand alone power up scene for him. I had to use unorthodox methods to get that movie.

Question: Do you actually have a life?

Yes, yes I do. About damn time too.

Question: How much time a day do you spend on IRC.

About an hour or so. Usually in the evening.

Question: How much time a month do you spend on the internet?

Not too much any more. Just a little while to chat. And whatever time it takes to upload.

Question: Why Ronin Warriors as a topic for this killer site?

Don't really know. Something in me said "make a Ronin site" and I did. Then it just took off and I had to keep making it. And I wrote fanfics, and added archives, and it kept getting bigger and bigger. But I digress. Back to the FAQ.

Question: Are you availible?

Question: What was going through your head when you wrote "Dark War"?

Way too much stuff. Tons of bizarre plot elements. And about a million other things. Basically I wanted to write something fun, entertaining, dark, and full of action.

Question: Why does the spelling of some of the names of characters in your fanfic change as it progresses?

Because I started writing it after the first airing of the show. I didn't know how to spell Talpa or Kayura correctly and there was no real consensus on the all of 5 Ronin Warriors Web pages that existed at that time. When the show re-aired on Sci-Fi a stronger consensus was reached and I shifted spelling to more accurate forms.

Question: Why don't you use the Japanese names for the characters like everyone else?

Simple. I saw the American dub first and I loved it. Also I recognize the fact that 99% of people who might wind up here don't know anything about the japanese show, the OAVs, etc. So I decided to make it simple for them. I want this site to be easy to surf and that means not forcing people to check refrence charts just to know what I'm talking about. And in all honesty if you have that much of a problem with the American dub that you can't take seeing the US names you are overly obsessed and should just move to Japan.

Question: Ok so your putting just about everything up. Is there anything we won't see added here eventually?

Yes. I will not make shrines to the heroes (goes against the theme of the page). And I will not put up smut. I believe in free speech, especially on the internet, you have the right to say whatever you want, I also have the right to not post whatever I want. That question was too heavy for me. Go back to the FAQ already.

Question: What is the real deal with your lack of an image?

I told you, I'm not photogenic. Stop bothering me. (just kidding)
