Problems Encountered with Toys and How to Fix Them
NOTE: I am not liable or responsible for any damage inflicted upon yourself or the toys by trying these solutions. I do not guarantee you will be satisfied by the results. These are what worked for me and I make no guarantee they will work for you. Children have your parents supervise you or do it themselves.
----- I will add more solutions to problems as they arise, If you have any helpful solutions don't hesitate to email them to me and I'll add them. If you have any problems you would like me to try and solve, don't hesitate to ask.
Problem: Extremely difficult to remove shoulder, hand, etc. pieces.
Solution: This has to be the biggest pain out there. This is almost as annoying as pieces that refuse to attach in the first place. The key to this is leverage and a very well trained hand. Basically you have to get a small screw driver (flat head not phillips). Slide it under the armor piece and get just enough lift so you can push the piece off. Be very very careful with this one. The toys are poorly made and you risk damaging them. The safer advice is to just leave the piece on and pretened its not there. Also be careful not to hurt yourself with the screw driver.
Problem: Torn Belts.
Solution: This problem is a tough one. For the most part you will never be able to fix the belt. At least not enough to make it useable. However there is hope. You can fix the belt well enough to make the figure look descent for display purposes. First you will need some rubber bands and super glue. You will use the super glue to glue the belt directly onto the figure (NOTE: test with a small drop of super glue in order to make sure it doesn't eat though the belt or have any other adverse reaction). Use the rubber bands to hold the belt in place while the glue dries. You won't be able to remove the belt anymore but at least the figure will be displayable.
Problem: Plastic outshoots from the weapons.
Solution: There are several methods of going about removing these annoying offshoots. The simplest and safest way is to get a nail file and grind them down. Other methods that work include using a razor blade, knife, or sharp small scissors to cut them off.
Problem: Cylindrical connector that is not open all the way though.
Solution: This is a dangerous one to do. So be careful. Once again there are a few ways around the problem. If you have a drill with an appropriately sized bit, you can clamp the connector down securely and drill out the end that is not open. You can also use an awl or manual boring device to puncture the closed end. Once again this can be dangerous so be careful.
Problem: Armor and weapon color does not Match that of the show.
Problem: Armor pieces won't attach and stay that way.
Problem: Sekhmet's sword sheaths won't stay flush to each other.
