Anubis
Anubis was probably a Daiymo (ruler) of feudal Japan. He was a member of a small royal family ruling over a small country. As a young and ambitious young leader he fought wars with his neighbors. While he started out as a noble and good ruler his lust for power and battle grew and grew. He won many of these small wars and it caused him to crave more and more victory. As he won more and more he sought more and more power. He inevitable succumbed to his blood lust. He eventually became a powerful young warlord in Japan and was then recruited by Talpa to become one of his Dark Warlords.
Dais
Dais could have been a powerful illusionist or priest in ancient Japan. He would have begun his training in the arts of magic at an early age and perfected his skill in illusion. He then became an advisor for a powerful Shogun. As the Shogun aged his rivals began to take over his throne, Dais tried to stop them. Initially they were more powerful and got the upper hand. They decided to teach Dais a lesson and cut his eye out. This only made Dais more determined to fight and eventually he succeeded and stopped them. But when there were no more rivals to fight Dais began to take over, at first he only controlled (from behind the scenes) the empire while the now aged Shogun was sick but eventually Dais sought more. He eventually killed the Shogun and took control of the Empire. A great civil war started as many lesser rulers would not submit to Dais. His powers of illusion helped him against the first waves of attackers but eventually his empire began to crumble. It is then when Talpa stepped in an recruited Dais, promising him an Empire bigger than the one he would have had.
Kale
Kale began as a noble Samurai warrior. He fought for his lord with honor. One day his country was attacked. Kale fought nobly but was defeated, he was also scarred for life. Kale's lord, disgraced by his inability to fight and win had Kale bound and left high in the freezing mountains to die. Kale was able to free himself and find shelter. He swore revenge on the lord that has banished him. He went back home under cover of night and took his weapons and armor. Then he went back to the north and began recruiting all kinds of out laws and savages. Kale and his outlaw army attacked his former lord but were defeated. Just as Kale was about to be beheaded Talpa saved him and recruited him as one of his Dark Warlords.
Sekhmet
Sekhmet started as a mild mannered fisherman. He was strong but naive. Eventually his fishing village was raided by pirates. They captured young Sekhmet and took him with them to learn the was of piracy. Sekhmet, wanting to stay alive did as the pirates said and eventually came to enjoy it. He rose through the ranks of the pirates until he was the captain of a small pirate fleet. He was however to ambitious and raided an imperial trading port. The imperial soldiers fought him back and began pursuit. After Sekhmet lost all of his ships and most of his crew the imperial soldiers captured him. As punishment they abandoned him on a small island to die. Sekhmet cried out for help and was answered by Talpa who took him as one of his Dark Warlords.
