Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry all belong to Mamiya Otaru, and therefore, they love him. The same goes for Tiger, Lynx, and Panther: They belong to Faust, so they love him. Tiger was the first Gartland marionette to be made, and knew Faust since he was a young boy, and before he got the memories of the previous Faust. Tiger would often go out into a field of flowers with him, and they'd play around and have fun. Tiger truely loved Faust.
One day came when young Faust was to have his memories replaced with those of the previous Faust's. The Faust Tiger knew and loved, turned into a cold one, and treated Tiger fairly badly. When Lynx and Panther came along, they too were treated badly. Despite the way they were treated, however, they still loved Faust, and tried to do everything they could for him, even when he 'threw' them away.
Towards the end of the series, Tiger, in a battle with the Japoness Marionettes, was empaled on a large spike, which crushed her Maiden Circut. "I do have a heart," where her final words, before she went basically comatose. Eventually, Faust learns that the reason Tiger, Lynx, and Panther did not grow, was that he didn't treat them well at all. So, he turned over a new leaf.
During the Saber Marionette J Again OAV, Tiger's Maiden Circut was broken through 4 our of 6 episodes. All that she could remember were the painful memories of her and young Faust, and all she could say was Faust's name. Her Maiden Circut suddenly was fixed with no explanation when Faust was near-death, and she left to rescue him.
Tiger is a very tragic character. I havn't gone into complete detail of what happens, since I don't want to spoil everything. You may not get a good idea of how sad her life is from this, since watching the series is the best way to find out.. ^_^;
