I haven't put any new pictures up since last summer. But soon I will be adding some pictures I took
during my recent unforgetable trip through Europe. Me and my cousin took over 500 photographs all
of which turned out really well. I'll have to sort through the bunch and pick a few of my favorites.
As soon as I get a chance to use a scanner, I'll put some up.

| Me with some of my friends from ESL and members of my best friend's band
at my party on the 25th of July. There were about 40 people there in total, but
at this point in the evening most of my neighborhood friends hadn't shown up yet.
I'm the one on the bottom right. It's a little hard to point out each
person in this shot so I'll just name them. There's Emi,
Masayo, Gen, Kikue, Keiko, Natsuko, Chihiro, Sachiko, Tony, Sebastian,
Jay, Shawn and Ryan. I can't remember the name of the guy behind me, but I think
he was the so called "chauffeur" for the band. |
This is a picture taken at a party at Emi's sublet a while back. Starting from the
bottom is Roger, Emi, Masa, Michel, Kikue, Rikako, Chiharu and finally me looking
rather unshaven. Most of the other guys were at the food table or the kitchen so
only a few of us got in the shot. I didn't take this picture personally, but Emi
gave me a copy of it as a present.

| This is me with my father Jacques and my older brother
Tyson. We're standing in the production area of my father's photographic and digital imaging company.
I don't know why but I usually end up looking rather cocky in most photographs. |
A quick snapshot of my kid sister Ashley who I'll hesitantly admit is my
favorite person in the world. Apart from being a pain in the butt, she's
probably also the best friend a brother could ever have. I have no idea where she gets her
sunny personality from because it certainly doesn't run in the family. I think this shot was
taken somewhere outside New York City.

| My best friend Sebastian with my best gal Keiko. The other guy is Shawn who is a
member of Sebastian's rock band. He kind of jumped in the shot. |
Me and Keiko at a hobby shop I frequent in my old neighborhood which
sells comics and manga and rents video games and anime. You can't see it in this picture, but to the left and in the back
is a huge selection of anime tapes for rent. |

| Some of my closest exchange student friends. Here we're all sitting around eating
okonomiyaki, hot dogs and orange juice with peach shnaps. On the left is Keiko
then Emi, Kikue, Tony (who's face is blocked), Hajime and then Rikako. I must say that
Keiko makes the best damn okonomiyaki I've ever tasted. |
This is just Keiko and Rikako soaking their feet in my hot tub.
In the background is Gen. |

Not a good shot, but the only one we have of the event. This is me and
Keiko doing a group dance. For the first time ever, a service for a
Japanese buddhist festival Obon Matsuri was given on the steps of Parliament Hill. A
little small and untraditional by Japanese standards (no food or game stands and in
the day instead of at night), it was still a significant
event. At the end of the service, apart from taiko drumming, they also had bon odori. A type
of Japanese dance where everyone performs movements in unison while stepping in a
circle. Keiko is in the black dress while I'm at the far right in jeans and a Michigan State
ball cap. |
Another picture of the July 25th party. From
left to right is Sachiko, Hajime, Natsuko, Sebastian, Rikako, Keiko and me crouching down. |

Another shot of Ashley. This picture was taken at a restaurant not far
from Times Square in New York. I can't remember the name of the place though. |
