Hikaru gets Rayearth

Hikaru, Umi and Fuu finally reach the third mountain which contains the third robot -- Rayearth. As the near the entrance to Rayearth's sanctuary, Hikaru feels someone calling her and when she knocks on the door, she is sucked in by a column of fire. The column of fire lead her to Rayearth who still has not revealed to her his true form. Meanwhile, Zagato takes matters into his own hands and goes to the third mountain to confront Umi and Fuu. The two are no match to Zagato's power. Hikaru is flung outside the Sanctuary by Rayearth where she sees Umi and Fuu unconscious and their armor destroyed. The two talk -- Hikaru trying to figure out why Zagato wants to destroy the Magic Knights and hurt Princess Emeraulde. Zagato doesn't listen to her and fires a beam which destroy's Hikaru's armor. Then Rafaga appears and challenges Zagato. But Zagato proves more powerful and as he is about to attack Hikaru again, Rafaga intercepts the blast. Zagato tells Hikaru to give up and go home, but Hikaru, with a new sense of courage told him that she will protect her friends and will do everything she can to save Cephiro. With that, Rayearth brings her back into his Sanctuary and accepts her as a Magic Knight. He reveals to her his true form and Zagato escapes. Then the three Mashins appear and the three girl's clothing changes. Each one enters their respective Mashins and head towards Zagato's fortress to save the Princess.

Hikaru and Lantis Spoilers (The following spoilers are excerpts from various episodes.)

Hikaru wakes up from a terrible dream and decides to talk a walk around the castle. She hears a small child talking with a man. She moves closer to the sound to see Mira (the child she saved in Series I) talking with Lantis. Mira too woke up from a bad dream and couldn't sleep and Lantis was offering to accompany her back to her room. Hikaru went with them. When Mira was finally with her mother, Hikaru asked Lantis if he really was the younger brother of Zagato. He nodded and then she lowered her head and asked for forgiveness and that if he wanted to avenge his brother he may do so as long as he vents out his anger only at her. Lantis told her that he did not want to avenge his brother's death.

Hikaru and Lantis travel around Cephiro to look for the next leader/life of the planet. They were attacked by some monsters but both used their powers to defeat them. Then, it started to rain. They sought refuge behind a large boulder then Lantis extended his arm so that his cloak would be over Hikaru's head to protect her from the rain. Hikaru insisted that it wasn't necessary, but Lantis said nothing and kept his arm extended. They talked for a few moments where Hikaru asked if travelling alone was lonely. Lantis looked at her tenderly. But then Primera interrupted the scene and as a joke, Makona opened his mouth and trapped Primera in it.

(After the episode where Hikaru was able to create her own sword) After Hikaru visits Presea she takes a walk. Makona decides to run and Hikaru chases after him. They end up in a garden where Lantis was sitting beside a fountain. Lantis told Hikaru that she should be in bed resting but she insisted that she was fine. He asked her to sit down but she sat down far from him. He was surprised at that. Then he let the birds flock to him, she found the birds beautiful and slowly made her way to him. Lantis then showed Hikaru a pendant and told her it was his mother's. She didn't want to accept but he insisted by taking both of her hands in his and placing the pendant in them. .
