Tamari is the propietor of V & A Productions, a small-time soft-porn magazine publisher and sometimes idol singer talent agent. Tamari finds Key on the street just after her escape from a couple of street rats looking for a good time. Key describes her need to find thirty-thousand friends, a startling comment that Tamari nonetheless says he can handle. He invites her back to the studio where it becomes all too obvious just *how* she was to obtain these "admirers." Key decides to leave, but is hampered by Tamari and his ape-like henchman. It is at that exact moment that Sakura barges in with a pizza delivery and recognizes Key. Summing up the situation, Sakura grabs Key and they depart.

Tamari sends his large cameraman after them, saying "Don't bother with the crazy girl, get the pizza chick!" Key and Sakura avoid the men, but in her haste to get away, Sakura leaves her pizza delivery scooter at Tamari's. Tamari next appears at the video store (Sakura's second job), returning the scooter "as a favor" at the same time he offers a proposal to Sakura to become an idol singer. Sakura, who had dreams of this long ago, actually pauses to consider a moment. Recalling Key and Tamari's plan for her, however, Sakura turns it down.

Tamari, not to be put off so easily, decides to up the stakes by approaching the head of Minos Productions, Ajo, about scouting for Sakura as he once did for Miho. He gives Sergei pictures of Sakura, whom upon later review recalls Sakura being a friend of Key. Sergei resolves to chase down Tamari and find out where Key is. As it happens, Tamari and his cameraman witness the disaster at the Miho concert, to the point of catching a glimpse of the real Miho. Ajo promptly orders Sergei to dispatch a PPOR to kill both Tamari and the cameraman.

Tamari is cornered by a PPOR on the roof of his building, and the first half of episode four ensues.
