Kisetsu Wo Dakishimete

Spring has finally come.  The trees were turning green and flowers started blooming... 

After a long one year at a prep-school, I finally got into a small university in the mountains.

I met Tomoko at the prep-school when my life was the most miserable.  Yet I was able to make it through because she had always been there for me.  I had always been grateful and she is still my friend, but the her girlfriend-like behavior towards me was starting to annoy me a little. 

The cherry blossoms are now completely bloomed.  As Tomoko and I were walking along the row of cherry blossom trees after class, we saw a girl lying under one of the trees.  I ran towards the girl and helped her up.  Oh my...  As I saw her face, I gasped.  It was the girl whom I had a big crush on in high school...   Her name WAS Mayu Sakurai.  But she was supposed to have been killed in a car accident back then.

As she regained her consciousness, I asked her several questions.  Where she came from?  What her name was?  Where she lived now.  But she didn't answer... or to phrase it correctly, she COULDN'T answer.   She didn't know her history.  She was amnesiac.
