The Eboshi Tatara Song

Tatara Fumu Onnatachi - Eboshi Tatara Uta
"Women who push foot bellows - the Eboshi Tatara song"

Music by Joe Hisaishi

Japanese

Hitotsu Futatsu wa Akago mo Fumuga
Mittsu Yottsu wa Oni mo Naku, Naku
Tatara Onna wa Kogane no Nasake
Tokete Nagarerya Yaiba ni Kawaru

English Translation (by Ryoko Toyama)

One, Two, even babies can push
Three, Four, even an ogre would cry (*)
The golden love of a Tatara woman
Melts and flows, and changes into a blade.

(*) Tatara is a huge foot bellow. In MH, women push it to send air into the furnace to melt iron sands. The song is a "counting song" to get the timing to push the foot bellow (it's pushed by several women). It's physically strenuous work, therefore, "even an ogre would cry".

This is not, by any means, an accurate word for word translation. The translator simply does not have the capability, the patience, or the dictionary for that (excuses, excuses ^^;;).
