NEON GENESIS EVANGELION (SHIN SEIKI EVANGELION) MOVIES: Death/Rebirth End of Evangelion Review by J.L.Roberts ------------------------- Alright!!! I finally, FINALLY got to see the movies!!!! And...I went insane. I started looking up FAQs on the web 'cause I HAD to know what was going on!!! These movies are definitely NOT for the physically and/or mentally squeamish. Asuka's still in the hospital (from the end of tape 12 of the TV series); Rei is still pondering herself; and Shinji??? DEATH: Recounts the TV series, with a few new additions. REBIRTH: Seele has decided NERV has outlived its usefulness...and decide to fight fire with fire, EVA with...well, you can figure THAT out, ne? END OF EVANGELION: REBIRTH...and what comes after...all of humanity's fate literally depends on one 14 year old. I thought adolescence was bad enough... You WILL need the FAQs for these...my recommendations on age?? Uh...45?? Seriously, the series itself I said no younger than 16/17...the movies? Wait until you're all grown up kiddo (18 and up), although, to be fair, if you can survive the entire series in one mental piece, you should be okay for the movies. Expect the entire series times three as far as...well...EVERYTHING goes. Also, If you've seen the TV series all the way through, SKIP Death/Rebirth. You'll get Rebirth again at the beginning of End of Evangelion, and you don't need Death if you know the series. To key you in, Tape 13 of the series happens DURING End of Evangelion. In case you missed it, tape 13 is mostly mental. It's what's going on in the characters' minds while the events of the movie are going on outside. Just so you know. ^_^ VIOLENCE, ANGST, NUDITY, LANGUAGE, SOME ADULT SITUATIONS - 17/18 and up at least
