::Rei's Ojii-san::
This man, whom Rei politely calls Ojii-san, runs the family temple. However, he is
extremely fond of young girls, and even tried to establish a self-defense school called
Protect Este, in hopes of getting more females to visit the shrine. This silly
infatuation with the other sex caused him to choose the villainous Cooan for his partner
instead of the dependable (and cute) Yuuichiru. It was
only after Rei had suffered the blunt of the blows, telling him, "You are my only
Ojii-san," that he realized his mistake.
Rei's Ojii-san was also a crystal carrier, and like all the crystal carriers, he had
special talents. His were extraordinary martial art skills and excessive amounts of
energy. He was also the only one to release energy against Zoicite (who collected
the crystals).
Rei's Ojii-san also likes to watch out for his granddaughter and has decided that
Yuuichiru is not the one for his Rei. (Poor Yuuichiru) The
first time that Rei kissed Yuuichiru, he sat in shock, and then proceeded to chase him
around the room armed with a broom! Later, in Sailor Moon Super S, he told Rei that
Mamoru would be a fine man for Rei, fortunately, Rei told Usagi that she doesn't want
Mamoru any more. (Yea!) |

::Rei's Father::
In manga 11, we learn of both Rei's father and mother. We learn that Rei's father is
a very rich, very powerful government official. However, this doesn't allow for much
family time. He is always away on business, and rarely sees his daughter. Rei
feels that he neglects his family, and doesn't like him very much.::Rei's Mother::
She died when Rei was very young, and in manga 11 it is revealed that Rei thought her to
be very weak minded. She wears a necklace that belonged to her, and this is the way
that people used to identify her.
