Skill: Elite pilot of a Grampus and member of Blue 6
Motivation: She is seeking revenge for her family killed by Zorndyke when the world was flooded. She is a "by the book" motivated character on the surface, but in reality her actions are emotionally driven. While she may appear young, she is a very skilled member of Blue 6.
Mission: She was sent to make Tetsu Hayami rejoin the fleet and to stop Zorndyke at all cost. She is a skilled pilot of a Grampus and is sent out to defend Blue 6 on many occasions.
Character Growth: Kino first appears as a tough fighter who is extremely loyal to "the cause", but later she realizes that everything she does is out of revenge of the death of her family.
Relationships: Her crew has accepted her and her high spirits despite her young age, but Hayami seems to reject her at every turn. She seems to be on friendly terms with the crew, but she isn't shown to have any close friends or connections on Blue 6. The relationship between Hayami and she are focused on the most. She is at first annoyed with Hayami's less than caring opinions on about everything, and becomes determined to discover what makes him tick. In doing so, she ends up admitting her own motivations, but also is allowed to understand Hayami's as well. I like the relationship between the two and it was a real spark in an otherwise CGI driven show.
