Standard disclaimer dance. Yoshihiro Togashi-sama owns these cute characters. And as standard as any disclaimers could be, I bet you’re bored reading it. So, by all means, I’m cutting this short! Hah!

Yaoi? Well, take a wild guess… but I think I’m going to be honest with this one. This piece of fic is certainly yaoi as if you don’t know. The problem is; if you have a problem with a guy having a slightly citrusy relationship with a boy, I hope you’ll get over it. Ne, I know you guys would. If yaoi is fine for you, I bet nothing can go wrong… can it?

Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining

Chapter 1

 A Grim Mistake

“Will it work?” asked a soft voice in the dark. “I don’t know. We won’t know until we try it,” another replied in an equally soft voice. “Hmm… really… let’s bring it to him then,” suggested the first voice. The later nodded and started to lift the small pot with his small five hands. “Are you okay with it?” asked the first voice. A nod was signed in reply.

The small youkai opened his wings and spread it, flapping it a few times to adjust to the new added weight.

  “Ready?”

  “Yes!”

With that he flew from the highest branch of the tree in the Makai, slowly sliding down in the wind’s caressing breeze. The first one followed behind closely. Suddenly there was an itch. The second little youkai blinked. “Shimatta!” he couldn’t stand it anymore and reached down to scratch the itch.

The small pot containing the fairy dust fell…

  ‘Clank!’

It hit something, not quite as hard, but also not quite as soft. Breaking the pot into pieces nonetheless.

A small groan was heard, resulted by the broken pot that landed on his head. On Hiei’s head. He blinked. Something fell on his head and he tried to find what was it. The dusts in the pot scattered on Hiei’s head evenly.

He began to feel faint. His eyesight blurred. Everything seemed white…

The Jaganshi fell into the darkness of unconsciousness…

“Kami-sama!” shrieked the first small youkai and flew right towards where the pot fell just to be paled by a scene, which both shocked him and relaxed him.

The later landed a few seconds later. The first youkai looked at him. “I have two news for you. A bad one and a good one. Which one first?”

  “The good one,” it said.

“Our fairy dust worked,” he announced. “The bad one?” asked the second youkai

“It fell right onto Mukuro’s military chief, Hiei,” both gulped and started to panic.

“WAIT!!!” halted the first youkai. “We don’t need to get panic,” he said, trying to comfort himself as well. “Then what should we do?” the second one asked. The first youkai blinked. “We can’t send him back to Mukuro cause she’ll barbecue us for sure,” said that first one as he hopped on Hiei’s plump fingers. He sat on it and thought. “We have to send him to someone to be taken care off first. Maybe he had someone else. The other one nodded and started to look in between the big pile of clothes wrapped loosely around the sleeping toddler.

 (What? Hiei a baby!? Bulma : hehe…)

“What are we looking for anyway?” asked the second youkai. “Something! Something about where we could send him to be taken care of first,” the other answered. “Why?” the first one stopped for breath. “So that he can be taken care of first. Then we will complete our work and send the antidote for him to be cured!” the second one nodded and started to look again.

“Ah! Found something!” said the youkai. The other hopped lightly over towards Hiei’s small round tummy. The small youkai pulled a big piece of paper, which seemed to be a picture of something.

Both hopped on the photo and looked at it.

Then looked at each other. “Kurama,” they echoed.
