"Yes darling, I mean Yukina-chan?" Kuwabara changed his words as Hiei looked like he was about to explode. "Would you want to go for a walk? With me?" asked Yukina. "AHHH!!! Of course! Of course!" agreed Kuwabara instantly and went straight to the door. "Urameshi-san, can you join us too?" asked Yukina. Yuusuke looked into Yukinaâs eyes and nodded. something in that look wantâs him to be with them. As Yukina and Yuusuke went to the door, Hiei trotted behind them. Yukina turned. "Iya oniisan, you stay here," she said and closed the door. Hiei was left staring at the door with Kurama behind him across the room. Silence was in the air for a couple of minutes, neither moved a muscle. Kurama wanted to apologise for what he said just now but he decided to wait. He was the one who has patience here and Hiei was the one who pushed him in the first place. He could live without Hiei. :⌠NO! I canât live without Hiei! âŚ: his inner voice shouted. Yes, he decided that he agreed with his inner voice. Hiei lost his patience and turned around. Kuramaâs eyes were set directly on his. Hiei walked closer. "Can I ask you one question?" Hiei asked as he walked slowly towards the fox spirit. Kurama nodded once. "Do you really mean it when you said you donât want to see me again?" asked Hiei tactfully, still walking slowly towards Kurama. Kurama shook his head. "No Hiei, NoâŚ," by the time Kurama finished that sentence, Hiei was already in front of him, only an inch apart. Hiei wrapped his arms around Kurama and threw his face flat on Kuramaâs chest. "Gomen ne," he whispered softly. Kurama returned the hug and wrapped his hands around his little companion. Kurama looked at the couch to the right of them and pushed Hiei onto it. He was careful not to crush Hiei with his weight. "HieiâŚ," he whispered softly. "Nani?" asked Hiei, underneath Kurama. Eyes of emeralds and rubies were locked together. "I was sorry I said that to you," he uttered. "Hn," answered Hiei. Kurama hated it when Hiei did that, he canât get a straight point from that little snorting sound. "Hiei, please⌠donât just snort like that. Say something else after that," said Kurama. "Ok, anyway⌠what made you cry today?" asked Hiei. Kurama was rubbing his nose against Hieiâs. "Em? Oh⌠it was about Karasu," said Kurama. "Karasu?" echoed Hiei, puzzled. Kurama nodded, but still his nose was dancing against Hieiâs little button one. "Well, I was so afraid of him that I cried. He would certainly find me again," said Kurama, straightening himself. Loosing the appetite after Hiei brought up the Karasu topic. Kurama shrugged. "He was hugging me tight just now," continued Kurama. Hiei raised an eye-brow. "I was afraid to fight. He might blow me to bits," answered Kurama as he saw the puzzled look in Hieiâs eyes. "What did he do to you after that?" asked Hiei. "Nothing actually, apart from calling me his lover and wanted to find me again," said Kurama and curled his legs. "Thatâs what frightens me most," he uttered, looking at the floor. Hiei stared at Kurama. He didnât know what to do, he was mad and jealous that someone else was hugging Kurama and Kurama let it. Normally, he would suggest to himself to go away, but⌠"Iâm afraid Hiei. Iâm afraid that if I fight him, heâll kill me," said Kurama. Hiei was still looking at him with baleful eyes. "Hiei, please, donât look at me like that! Donât be mad at me," Kurama pleaded. "What do you want me to do then? Go and find Karasu and beat the ass out of him?" snapped Hiei. Kurama was taken aback. Once again, his healed heart was torn to pieces. He looked away, hurt. Suddenly Hiei realised that he was hurting the kitsune again. "Gomen. I was mad at Karasu, not you," with that, he leaned forward and put his head flat against Kuramaâs chest, his hands wrapped around Kuramaâs middle. A soothing sensation ran up through Kuramaâs spine. "Hiei?" called Kurama. "What?" "Can you stay over here tonight?" he asked. "Hn." Kurama was too overjoyed to complain about Hieiâs little snorting sound. He tightened his hug and kissed Hieiâs forehead. "You little beautiful koorime," he muttered. ************ "What was that all about?" asked Yuusuke. "Well, just settling some problem between oniisan and Kurama-san," said Yukina. "Huh! That spâŚ," Kuwabara was cut off by Yuusukeâs elbow buried deep in his stomach. "Baka!" he cursed Yuusuke. To be continuedâŚ
