What? Do you think that by the end of this transcript I learned Latin?
Well, think again. I still don't know what they're saying. Anyway, they
chant for a while showing the people standing in candlelight vigil, in the
rain. Che is standing by the gate to the Casa Rosada. This line is rather
disjointed and isn't sung in tune to the music, but the point it puts across
is just a little striking.
Che: She had her moments she had some style
the best show in town was the crowds outside the Casa Rosada crying Eva
Peron! But that's all gone now.
Switch inside to Eva's bedroom where she's lying in bed with her family
and Peron looking on.
Eva: The choice, was mine and mine completely.
I could have any prize that I desired.
I could burn with the splendor of the brightest fire.
Or else, or else I could choose time.
Remember, I was very young then.
And a year was forever and a day.
So what use could fifty, sixty, seventy be.
I saw the lights and I was on my way...
And how I lived,
how they shone
but how soon the lights were gone.
Eva dies. We are now back to the very beginning time period, remember..
when Che sang Oh What A Circus?
Well, Che shows up where the coffin is and looks at Peron. He basically
appears out of nowhere and no one else sees him. Its kinda weird...again.
CHE IS A GHOST!! WHAAA! heh heh..just kidding...
Che: The choice was yours and no one else's
You can cry for her body in despair.
Hang your head because she is no longer there
to shine, to dazzle, or betray.
How she lived!
How she shone!
But how soon the lights were gone.
Che steps forward to the coffin and kisses it directly above Eva's head.
Background voices: Eyes, Hair, Face, Image
All must be preserved.
Still life displayed forever,
no less than she deserved.
Several gong sounds and the movie ends. Nice music during the credits.
That's it, go home, rent the movie, and enjoy.
