I work three days a week. I work Wednesday from opening to 6 and Thursday from 12 to closing. On Sundays I work the entire day (we're only open some 6 hours.) I've only been to work once this week, and this is my second to last week. I haven't been to work because the power keeps going out. Apparently the big lines are "burning up". Well, you can't run a computerized library without power. Just doesn't work too well. So right now (being a sunday) I am sitting in my husband's office on the "spare windows machine" writing my rant of the moment. My life is just freakishly weird lately.

Top Ten Weird Things About My Life

1. I have a cat in my bathroom
2. I haven't been working because the power keeps failing (suspiciously only when I'm here. Maybe the Previa does have some weird field around it.)
3. ASU won't refuse my stupid application even though it's been 3 weeks (they say give it up to 4) and I had a low GPA and applied late. Just refuse the stupid thing, quit making me wait.
4. I'm flying to Minnesota in June to watch my sister get married to her boyfriend who shares her birthday (though not the same year.) I'm wearing purple. PURPLE.
5. I neither share my birthday or birh year with my husband but I happen to share both with his brother. (off by one day.)
6. I'm sitting using Windows XP for the first time. It's ugly. And stupid. And it's still easier to make sense of than linux.
7. I dropped the DVD remote in a bucket of water and now we can't watch most of our DVDs because we want to change the language and the DVD player doesn't remember that. So now my husband and I each have a broken DVD player to our name.
8. My fish are psychotic. They're chiclids. They're NUTS. They get all sick and hide, then they get better and normal, then they spontaneously decide to dig holes...weird fish.
9. I quit work on the 1st. Which means I no longer have to deal with stupid computer problems...but for some reason I'm really gonna miss work. In fact since the POWER keeps going out, I'm missing it already. Sorta.
10. I'm stuck in Heroes 3, it's not even a hard scenario I just can't manage to get a good start on it. Or if I get a good start I can't manage to get a good end. So I've been playing instead the scenarios where I can set the difficulty to easy. I have no patience.

So maybe some of those things are Why my life is BUSY instead of weird. But hey, what can you do. I guess it's not that bad but I don't like being busy. I really wanted to have a nice peaceful life and I get irritable when I start getting busy.

Anybody want a cat? It's pretty tame, it has kittens. It lives in our bathroom. It's still not supposed to be there...but noone has asked us about it again.

We got a matress for the futon frame we found by the dumpster, it's really comfortable, but since our DVD player is broken we haven't done much sitting and movie watching. Though we did go see X-men 2. X-men 2 rocks, that was an awesome sequel. Really! I'm like the anti-sequel queen and I LIKED X-men 2 a lot. (okay I liked Star Wars Episode 1, and Toy Story 2, and Batman Returns...)

So this is really just a rant of random crap that's going on lately. Kind of an explanation as to why I don't spend more time yelling into the ether at nobody who cares. In case it wasn't reason enough in itself.
