Okay then... isnât it time my fav female character got a whooooole page all to herself... besides some dinky one page shrine? If you ask me, Kaoru has to be one of the most intelligent, yet incredibly kawaii anime girls Iâve ever seen. Sheâs not like most anime girls who can fight but canât keep their clothes on for more then a minute. And sheâs certainly not anything like Akane Tendo whoâs probably got the brains of a brick. (Come on... if she hasnât figured out who P-Chan is by now..) Not only is Kaoru able to run a dojo alone, but sheâs able to help Kenshin, and stare down Shinomori Aoshi staight in the eyes.
Kamiya Kaoru is the owner of the Kamiya dojo. Sheâs 17 and later in the series, 18. Anyway, she loves Kenshin, and would do anything for him. She is the head of the Kamiyakasshinryuu, a sword school which has a philosophy of using the sword for protection, not killing. She can be very nice and has a generous nature, but is quick-tempered. Her two students are Yahico and Yutarou. She has no brothers or sisters, or parents and was apparently living by herself before Kenshin arrived. She forms an attachment to Kenshin because with him at the doujou she is not alone and often worries that Kenshin will abruptly leave without telling her, since during one of their first encounters he had told her that he was a wanderer and bound to just go wherever he happened to. She is a terrible cook, which she has been told by Sanosuke and Yahico though Kenshin doesn't seem to mind her cooking.
