Despite many complaints that the subtitles on the Australian release of Ghost in the Shell are a full two seconds off, Australian video company Siren Home Entertainment said that there would be no recall.
"Bah! A recall! Why? When you could just use the Forward-Rewind method."
When asked what exactly the "forward-rewind method" is the company spokesperson said "You fast forward 2 seconds ahead of time, read the subtitles, then rewind and look at the picture. Do this once for ever subtitle that comes up, and it will be like nothing's wrong."
When asked how their quality control did not catch this problem, the spokesperson replied "Well we just hired a new qualtiy control guy, his name is [Editor's Note: I'm not going to even finish this one]"
Despite being compared to lowly Canadians, Australians, unlike their canuck counterparts, have made several significant cultural achievements including Picnic at Hanging Rock, Babe, and Young Einstein [Editors Note: No, Alanis Morisette is not a significant cultural achievement].
