MIXX LOSES KAREKANNO RIGHTS 08/6/00

Mixx recently anounced that it had aquired the critically-acclaimed shojo manga Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou (or KareKanno for short), and had even solicited the title for an October release. However it was forced to retract that anouncement this week, when the company stated that contract negotiations had fallen through.

When asked why he would advertise a Manga he didn't even own yet, Mixx CEO Stuart Levy said "Basically, it's because I'm an idiot and my magazine is stupid."

Mixx is well known in the anime community for publishing two magazines, the utter waste of paper Tokyo Pop, and another one that nobody reads called Smile. Tokyo Pop is a magazine about Asian American Culture (it's been called "a stupid Giant Robot") while Smile is for the next generation digital girl.

When asked what the fuck a next generation digital girl is anyway, Levy replied "Y'know, the kind that surfs the internet, uses hip words like 'kewl, and spells words with 'ph' instead of 'f'."

When we told him that nobody actually talks like that, he begged us to "hook him up with the phat new speak". When we said no, he cried.

He then asked us "Is it true I am the laughing stock of the internet?" We said "No, that would be this guy ". Finally, Mr. Levy wiped the tears from his eyes, we thanked him for his time, and then parted ways.

***Editors Note: After many grueling hours of research, we have come to believe that "kewl" is pronounced like "mule" with a "k" but we are unable to confirm this. We welcome any information you may have on this matter
