These are suggestions that were popular among fans of anime DVDs that would
make Great Extras for the yet-to-be released Dragonball Z DVDs. We hope these will
help you in improving the quality of the DVDs.
1. Character Biographies- Throughout Dragonball Z many events happen to each
characters. Whether they’ve change side or personalities on the battlefield, made kinships
with other characters, learned new attacks or discovered new levels of power, these things
can be covered in biographies of many of the characters. People would like to know their
origins and personalities and the battles they’ve gone through to get to the current period
they are in. They’d like to know the attack names in both English and Japanese along with
a description of them. This would make a great addition to the discs!
2. Art Galleries- This goes well with the DVDs. One of the things people like about DBZ
is the artwork. Akira Toriyama and the animators for the anime did a very good job with
this. There were also conceptual drawings of the characters and that would be interesting
to see as well.
3. Music Videos- People really seem to love some of the Insert songs that were in the
anime. Songs such as “Unmei no Hi: Takashi Tai Takashi”, “We Gotta Power”, “Mind
Power Ki”, and “Battle Power Infinity” are among the most popular. If you could get
these songs from TOEI and use footage from the show to make the videos, that would be
very cool.
4. Manga/Comics- We know that Viz translates the Manga, but maybe you could
convince them to release samples of the series to view on some of the discs.
5. Information on Akira Toriyama, Weekly Shonen Jump, TOEI, and the manga-
People want to know how the Dragonball series was created it and helped to contribute it.
Maybe you could give information about those who worked hard to make the series and
what they have been doing since.
6. Japanese Commercials- This one is very interesting. People are probably curious as
to how Dragonball Z was advertised in Japan. Maybe you could get your hands on these
pieces of vintage footage.
These are some very good ideas for extras. There should be enough on here to make each
disc unique. Maybe you’ll also be able to come up with ideas that haven’t thought up yet.
