Born to Dr Jonathan and Dieana Banwell, Nex wanted nothing more than to lead a normal life. But cricumstance prevented this forcing him to join UNSpacy. Although he hated the military , his love of flying along with his natural tallent as a pilot allowed him to gain rank and the respect of his superiors, especially that of Cpt Jadrian Hayes. Although he made many friends, his two closest are L.T. Lancer Bernard, his best friend, and Doctor Lia Chen ,his "older sister".
Security cheif Amadal Razek is the muscle behind the battle12 and is also its oldest crew member first serving under The Zentradi army as the advanced tactical Roiquonmi Glaug assult force of 2009. Razek as proven himself many times as a stalwart warrior and a tactical leader receiving many medals and comidations including the silver flying cross. Now serving under the command of Nex Banwell as the b12's security cheif, Razek sees himself now as a mentor for nex and his crew.

Born to Michael Bernard and Oreda Zria(half zentradi),Lancer was born into a military tradition which spances the cosmos. His father can trace his military heritage as far back as WW1 and his mother, being half zentradi,has a military record as old as earth its self. Lance may be born with the military gene but hates the military life. But this mutual feeling made his friendship with Nex even stronger, constantly getting the both of them in a mess load of trouble
Dr. chen is the Battle12's Cheif Medical physican. From bumps and bruises to biogenetic nanosurgury, Dr Chen takes care of it all. With her team of surgeons and nurses,Dr Chen has her own crew to command. She also plays an equaly important role as nex's older sister who she practily watched grow up, allways his sympathetic shoulder and giver of female advice. And although Dr Chen may be the second oldest member of the crew at 31 ,she still likes to cut loose and relax once in a while.
