Darkstalkers are owned by Capcom. Nuff said.
Knights of the Round are owned by myself since I
developed the charecters. Ah! Megami-sama! is
owned by Kosuke Fujishima. Sailor Moon is owned
by Naoko Takeuchi.

Happens right after the first episode of the dubbed
Night Warriors when Felicia emerges into the human
world and defends Lord Raptor. Overwrites most of
the events containing her for quite some time.

Soul Of Light
by Shaun Garin

She stumbled out into the street, weary and battered.
Her chest heaved from exertion of the post battle and
running away from more Darkstalker Hunters. She heard
the shouts of angered mobs barely a street away. She
gasped and leapt to the roof of a desterted building.

She leapt to several other roofs, in an attempt to get
away from the angry mobs. Suddenly, her foot snagged
on a ledge and she screamed while plumeting down
into the street.

Her thoughts were in a turmoil. Perferably they could be
translated as ‘Oh my god! I’m gonna be caught! Help!’

She closed her eyes for the impact...but found herself
carried away in a pair of arms : a pair of HUMAN arms.

“Hey!” she protested loudly, “what are you doing
buster?”

He didn’t reply as he set her down atop a church roof.
She blushed furiously as he turned questioning brown
eyes upon her form.

“Rather cold in that?” he asked in a baritone voice.

“What buisness of yours is it human?” she spat back.

“Human?” he chuckled. “Now THERE’S a reference to
my state I haven’t heard in quite some time. But for the
record, yes, it is my buisness.”

Felicia “Huumph”ed and crossed her arms under her
chest. “So why save me human? You know I could take
your soul any time.”

“That I don’t deny. But I don’t think you would want to
do that.” He grinned slightly. “Some higher deities
wouldn’t like it if you did.”

She blinked in confusion and sniffed. “You don’t smell
like any human I’ve ever smelt. Even a Darkstalker has
a different smell and you don’t match it.” A terrible
thought crossed her mind, “are...are you a hunter?”

He shook his head. “I have not hunted for demons
for a long time. Ever since the last day a long time
ago, I have not destroyed just because they are of
a certian race. I am curious, what is your name?”

“Felicia.”

“I am called Sarryn Excalibur.”

***

Felicia leaned her head on Sarryn’s shoulder, tired
from the day. “You’re different from the humans
Sarryn. You don’t fear us and have no grudge
against us.”

Sarryn smiled and nodded. “I know. You’re different
also. You’re cute, teenaged, and curious. You’re a
young girl with enough powers to level a town.” he
smiled inwardly. He could level a city if he wanted to.
And much more.

“Mmmm. I like you Sarryn. You are one of the rare few
humans who allowed a Darkstalker to get this close to
him.” she cuddled up to his muscular form. Sarryn
blushed slightly.

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And beauty can
spread to the heart. Do you want a place to stay? I...
I can be very influencial.”

She blinked slightly. “In a HUMAN hotel? You can do
that? For a little Darkstalker like me?”

“Why not? Come on, no one will bother you.”

***

Heads were turned in shock as a human male wearing a
set of blue and white clothes with a scantily clad girl
with cat ears, walk into the hotel. Expressions of
confusion turned to horror as they relalised that the girl
was a Dark One.

“DARK ONE!” A man yelled as he yanked out his sword.
Various weapons were drawn with angry mob like fury.
Felicia growled and bared her claws. She tenced and
prepared to leap but Sarryn laid a hand on her shoulder.
She looked around, eyes blazing. “What?!” she demanded.
Her fury was quickly lost at the pleading look on Sarryn’s
face. He shook his head as she lowered her claws.

The first man was furious. “What are you doing?! She’s a
dark one! She must die!”

Felicia bristled as Sarryn pushed her behind his back.
“She’s with me,” he rumbled darkly.

“You can’t be serious Lord Excalibur! You are one of
the most respected people in the world! We all trust
your judgement!” another yelled.

“And so you should. I see a good soul in her. Now,
get a room for her.” The man behind the front desk
nodded and handed Felicia a key. She accepted it
and tipped a smile at the leering man.

***

A soft knock at Sarryn’s door alerted him to a presence.
He slipped on his robe and opened the door. Felicia stood
there, clad in a nightgown and robe. “Can I come in?” she
asked softly.

“Sure.” She slipped in and sat down on the edge of the
bed, sighing softly. He sat down beside her, looking at
her face. “What’s on your mind?”

“I don’t know. My thoughts are in a turmoil.” ‘What is this
feeling? What the heck is this feeling?’ She felt herself
develop a full body blush as she stared at him.

“What about?” he asked.

“Do you pity me?”

Silence greeted her words as Sarryn thought, looking straight
at the mirror at the wall. A sad reflection looked back at him
and the cat girl.

Felicia blinked several times. “Do...” she blushed red, “do you
love me?”

It was his turn to blush. “You could call it many things. But
love is too strong for my condition. I have a condition that
may make you...indiferent to me.”

“I guess.” She sat, silent until she stood and took off her robe.
She then slipped into the bed. Sarryn turned around in surprise.

“What are you doing?”

“I’m wary of an attack so we’ll sleep together.” She curled up in
the still warm sheets. Sarryn shrugged and slipped in the other
side, turning off the light.

Next day...

The pair strolled down the streets of the artifically lit
city, Felicia drawing most of the mens stares and
mostly nervous emotions. After all, it wasn’t everyday
that one of the most influencial humans on this planet
had a young female Dark One as a guest.

Felicia was like a young girl in a candy store as her eyes
dazzled at the rows of clothes, all ready to be tried on.
She bounced from rack to rack, scooping up several dozen
items as she waltzed into the dressing room.

Sarryn grinned as she modeled all her clothes before the
wealthy twenty year old man.

***

A angry group of men sat around a table, conversing about
the Dark One staying with Lord Excalibur. A bearded man
with a long scar on his eye sat at the head of the table.

“Lord Excalibur must be under some wicked Dark One spell.
There’s no way he could tolerate that bitches presence!”

Another man with a hawk-like expression on his face (as with
his facial features), nodded his accent. “If Lord Excalibur is
not going to do something about that infuriating cat girl, then
we must destroy her.”

A chorus of accents resounded around the table as many
pulled weapons from their bodies and armed themselves with
flamethrowers, guns, knives, crosses and other assorted
impliments of death.

The angry mob flooded into the streets.

***

“Thanks for bringing me here,” Felicia was clad in a pair of
pants and a longsleved yellow sweater. Her tail twitched
and waved as she moved along the road, carrying a bag.
Beside her, Sarryn carried a huge pile of boxes and assorted
items.

He laughed, “Thanks for being leniant on my wallet.”

She laughed, a musical chime in the wind, “beware, there
will be no mercy,” she mock threatened.

“Yeah right.” Suddenly, the hairs on his neck rised as a
angry group of villagers stormed into the street, holding
several dozen weapons of pain. Sarryn narrowed
his eyes. “What are you doing?” he demanded.

“Stand aside Lord Excalibur! She is a Dark One and
we must destroy her!”

“Over my dead body,” he growled.

The bearded man walked up to the front of the mob
brandishing a double edged sword. “This doesn’t
concern you Excalibur. If you don’t move, you might
get killed too.”

“Then I die with honor.” He shifted into a martial arts
stance.

“Then so be it,” the bearded man snapped his fingers
and the mob charged. In two minutes, everyone was
laying in pain as Sarryn towered over the masses,
cracking his knuckles.

“You surprise me Excalibur, I never knew you could
defeat people without weapons,” he hefted his
weapons, “but you’re defending the Dark One, so
you have to die.”

***

A lone man snuck up behind Felicia, holding a
wickedly curved knife. He lunged and grabbed her
hands and held the knife to her neck. “Don’t move
Dark One or you will be destroyed.” He snickered,
“but we want that to happen, don’t we?”

***

“I can’t belive you would stoop so low to get her
out of the way,” Sarryn growled fiercely. His hands
clenched and unclenched with barely contained fury.
“she doesn’t have to die.”

“Au contrare sir,” the bearded man said while shoving
him out of his path. He came up and inspected Felicia’s
face while holding her chin. He rolled her head from side
to side as if inspecting a side of beef. “she is a pretty
Dark One. But evil enough to be destroyed.” he raised
his sword to thrust it into her chest.

“NOOOOOOOOOO!” Sarryn burst with a white light. The
light intencified as his body was changed. His clothes
formed into a white set of armor and clothing. His hair
lengthened to a long silver ponytail. From his back, long
feathery wings burst with a gleam of silver light. His arms
formed crystal bracers and on his middle a crystal belt
formed with a flash of light. Power streams coursed
through his body and a fancy hilt with a ruby crystal
appeared in front of himself. He grasped it and the
blade formed with a shimmering wavy blade of silver
energy. He settled down on his feet and took a stance.

The grouped men gasped as the shimmering teenaged
man settled down on the ground with a glowing sword
narrowed his eyes, his wings wrapping around his
form. The bearded man did the most predictable thing
possible. “DARK ONE!” he screamed in terror.

Sarryn glared at him. “Do I LOOK like a Darkstalker?!”

Felicia gasped and winced from the bright energy. She
stumbled and shuddered from the pure energy. “Augh!
Please, stop!”

Sarryn nodded and dimminished the white glow. “I am
Sarryn, leader of the Knights of the Round, under the
orders of God himself. You are not to hurt her!” With
that, he blasted the bearded man away into a pile of
trash with a burst of white light. He then hurried over
to Felicia and helped her to her feet. But now, she
seemed to cower at his presence.

Felicia was scared. Even more so that she now knew the
true nature of this man. He was practically an angel.
“Gomen nasai. I didn’t know about you.”

“Forgiven. I knew I couldn’t hide it from you forever.
I appologize, I didn’t want to hide my...angelic qualities
from you for so long.”

Felicia shakely took his hand and allowed herself to be
pulled up to her feet. She winced as he held her shoulder
in a protective hug. Sarryn knew something was wrong.
“What’s the matter?” he asked.

She trembled like a leaf in the wind. “You’re an angel.
I can’t believe you, you idiot! What were you thinking,
letting a Darkstalker get too close to you?!” with that
she tried to slap him. He grasped her hand in a tight
grip.

“Because I care for you.” he hugged her close, wrapping
his gossimer wings around her sleek form. He held her as
he felt the tears fall down her cheeks.

Felicia felt like she was melting inside. Her whole being felt
warm as her heart warmed up inside her chest as she melted
into his arms. The scent of his silver hair wrapped around
her sences like a warm blanket. She cried tears of
both joy and fear while being held by the angel.

***

Felicia entered the room, ablit nervous since she
never been in a church before. The reason being
that she was a Darkstalker and he...well he was
practically an angel.

He stood in the middle of the barren church and
clasped his hands together. With a burst of wind,
he flapped his wings and hovered over the floor.
Felicia stared at him as he started to emmit the
faintest white glow. He lowered his head and
started to pray in a barely audible voice.

God above, help me and those who
I care about. Life is too precious to
destroy. I ask for guidence for the
life above and below. Help us to be
	strong. Please send someone to
guide our life and bring happiness.
	Bring us home. Amen.

He settled back down on the floor. With a flare
of light, the whole room was bathed in a soft white
glow as three women appeared. The first one was
a sandy haired girl with three markings on her face,
a thin diamond, and two triangles under the eyes.
She wore clothes which made her look like a angel
as well with wings.

The second was older, considerably more buxom,
with platinum hair and a blue buisness like suit
with tiger striped cleavage, armlets, and a collar.
Her face had a sapphire triangle with two more
triangles under her eyes.

The last was considerably younger with ebony
hair and a large hammer strapped to her back. Her
clothing was reminesant of a lab coat and a red
dress under it. She had a large rounded triangle
on her forehead and two other triangles under
her eyes.

“Belldandy. Urd. Skuld,” he greeted each one
in succession. “good of you to come.”

Felicia stared at the newcomers, feelings of
extreme dread welling up in her body. “Who are
they Sarryn?”

“Meet the Goddesses of the Past, Present and
Future. They have come to help with our little...
problem.” Sarryn blushed slightly.

Felicia felt herself grow red. ‘What is this feeling?’

Belldandy sighed slightly in exasperation. “Sarryn
you have really done it this time.”

“Yeah,” Urd chorused, “the Yggdrasil is getting
frustrated from processing the mixture of Dark
and Holy power you’re emmitting this time.” she
glared slightly at the cat girl while at the same
time, smiling.

Skuld typed a command into the minicomputer
she carried. “You know, you two are in for it if
Father decides to cut off your relationship.”

“HEY! Can I help it if I’m in love?!” Suddenly, he
felt Felicia’s eyes bore down on him. He turned
around, ready to face her wrath. But instead, he
felt compassion in her eyes.

“You really feel that way about me?” she asked
softly.

“Um...yeah.”

“Well...Wo an ni!” she glomped him, kissing him
furiously. Urd stared as with Skuld. Belldandy only
smiled and clasped her hands together.

“Its only proper to send them somewhere safe.”

Epilogue

Crystal Tokyo. A group of fuku clad women watched
the romantic scene unfold before them as a pair of
people, one a gossimer winged man and a cat eared
woman kissed atop the hill.

Venus wiped a tear from her eye as she wrapped a
loving arm around Ryoga. Mars leaned her head
against Kurama. Ami cuddled with Glenn, Jupiter
smiled and kissed David. Hotaru leaned against
Ranma and Setsuna stood off to the side, Mousse
standing next to her.

“A love that was meant to happen,” Setsuna said
while shifting her stance to match Mousse’s.

“As with everything, even a Darkstalker like her
needs someone,” Hotaru nodded.

“And life goes on with everything in the world.”

The sun set in another day in the Chronicles of
the Holy Sword Saga.
