About the Guests' Web Picks

It all started in 1997 with Jei, who undoubtedly had his reasons. (You'll have to inquire about them from Jei himself, I never did. ;)  I asked to continue the guestpicks because I was curious about what other anime fans were like, how they thought (or not :), what websites they looked at. I thought it might interest others too...

An excerpt from the current request letter:
" The Guest Picks was set up to show the diversity of anime fans, their lives, their thoughts. This diversity would show too in their website picks as the picks reflect their interests. The guests tell about their background, how they got into anime, their other interests, anything esle they feel strongly about, then list out some of their favourite sites and explain why they chose them.

The article can be done any style you like, in any length. Something that reflects your views. What's important is that the author's personality shows through. (And that the URLs are included, so I don't have to hunt for them. :D )"

Most of the guests have been proposed via e-mail by readers of the guestpicks. Guests come from all ages and walks of life. The articles thus display varied opinions and writing styles. There is very little editing of content, if at all. I feel very strongly that people should be allowed to show themselves as they are (or hope to be. :) I don't agree with all of what has been written, but I like even less to take away the readers' opportunity to sift through the words themselves and make their own decisions about the articles and what they convey.

If you do find an article that you have enjoyed or in some way have gained from, please do take a minute and e-mail a line to let the author know. The name of the authorat the beginning of every article is an e-mail link, just click on it!  :)

--Read at your own risk. Manual not included. ;)
