Kyousuke is the eldest child of the family. Even so, he just can't seem to keep up with his sisters, Kurumi and Manami. They pretty much do whatever they please around the house; even their father Takashi has little or no control over them. Sometimes, Kyousuke even gets pounced on by Jingoro, the rotound Kasuga family cat. That happens mostly in his room, and mostly while he's in bed sleeping and dreaming about Madoka-chan! He also has to fight with Jingoro for the red hat that Madoka has given him on that fateful morning. Thankfully, that doesn't happen too often.

Kyousuke's main fault is his indecisiveness. That played a big part in the love triangle lasting for such a long time. Kurumi once complained at the breakfast table that he was so indecisive that he was late to school one day because he couldn't decide on which pair of socks to wear! (This came right when Kyousuke was having trouble making up his mind about what to have for breakfast) Kasuga Kyousuke is basically a nice guy- especially in the anime tv and OVA series. How this affects the triangle will be disgussed in the other sections of this page. What happened in the Orange Road Movie was nothing like what goes on in the tv series.

Another big problem of Kyousuke's is his ESP powers. Those powers gets him into a whole lot more trouble than out of! Teleportation seems to be the only power that he has fairly good control with, minus the times he landed in ditches and other odd places. Other powers are mostly triggered by accident, most notedly self-hynosis when thinking to himself in front of a mirror and time-slipping (time traveling) when he falls down a flight of stairs or get squashed by a Christmas tree. The Christmas tree is kind of hard to explain unless you watch the Christmas episode. He also has the power to predict the future in his dreams, although things usually don't turn out the way he thought they meant.
