Eva-01 Pilot: Ikari Shinji First appearance: Episode 1

Eva-01 is the main "robot" in the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. It's probably the most active Eva among all Eva. It's combat record is the best one. However, it seems that it's the most unstable one. It's out of control several times. Once Eva-01 beat an angel and "eats" it even if its power supply was terminated. More weird is that after that battle, it physically absorbs the body and "soul" of it's pilot, Ikari Shinji.
