"Mononoke Hime" is a story that is one large adventure age action film in the age which shifts from the Middle Ages to the early modern age. As for Japan, the primeval woods of ancient times was still left. Big beasts such as wild dogs and wild boars which understood man's language lived in the primeval woods.
The population increases and a lot of primeval woods are being developed in this age. Beasts attacked men who invaded the sanctuary barrel forest. The "Shishi-gami" was commanding those beasts dreaded violent god. Because "Shishi-gami"and beasts were dreaded from men. However, to build the society for men, they tried to open a lot of primeval woods still. "Mononoke Hime" is a story of the god and the person in such an age.
The tribe who had been defeated because of the fight with Yamato(national powers) hundreds of years ago lived at a secret hometown. Ashitaka who was the hero was born there. As for Ashitaka, it was length of the tribe's next generation.
Wild boar's god became "Tatari-gami" that was a frightened incarnation who brings the misfortune by angry and hatred. The "Tatari-gami" attacked the village in the mountain village where Ashitaka lived on a certain day. Ashitaka fights against the "Tatari-gami" to save his village. He blew down the "Tatari-gami", but the curse of the death is put on him by the god of the wild boar which is transformed to "Mononoke" which is called "Tatari-gami" by angry and hatred.
Ashitaka did not want to die as it is. To confirm an own fate, he left for travel. The purpose of the travel was not to have liberated from the curse. A true purpose of his travel is to know the reason why the curse had been bet on him.
Ashitaka advanced toward the direction in the west and he reached the village. Then, he met a strange man named Gigobo. Gigobo recalled men of old times because he saw the Ashitaka's right arm put curse. "There was a brave clan who used the arrow of the stone for the direction in the east across a red lion...."
Ashitaka learnt there was a forest of "Shishi-gami" in the direction in the west. Then, he aimed at the forest. On the way in his going to the forest, he met the girl named San in the riverbank. She was brought up by wild dog's "Moro" though she was man's child. She was exactly "Mononoke Hime".
San violently hated man who invaded the forest. There was an appearance of a white, behind of her huge wild dog. Ashitaka was known parties concerned in the forest of "Shishi-gami" even she by intuition. Ashitaka called her, but she only watched him by a hostile glance.
Ashitaka met men injured in the riverbank. They said that they had been attacked by a huge wild dog. Ashitaka was guided to their villages named Eboshi that of the steel manufacture.
The steel manufacture group was led by "Eboshi-Gozen". She thought that she was going to eliminate God of beasts from the forest and going to change into abundant land there in spite of God of beasus were defending foresting so that they might live. She gathered the woman to whom they had been sold and men who had been oppressed and ware making iron.
By the way, there is a rumor of equipping the power of no perennial youth death in "Shishi-gami".
There were samurais who tried to capture the "Shishi-gami". Samurais started with the group of Ashitaka and "Eboshi-Gozen" and the fight of the triple struggle started. The fight became very violent.
Ashitaka renewed San by the fight. They had the mind commute gradually. However, the fight became more violent. The gods became a mere brute. San tried to calm down the gods that had become a brute. However, she has been swallowed by the god. Ashitaka faced her rescue determining the death.
And, the story faces the end to the average of the large confusion.
What hope do they find in the situation ?
