If U want to learn Beta here, why not train Aeris until she got her 3rd limit break which is Planet Protector. When she got this limit break, go and find that Midgar Zolom and have fun, let Aeris suffer enough damage to build her limit gauge and then hit the snake until it straightens itself, after that then let loose of Aeris limit break and hit the snake with everthing U got. If done properly, the snake will use Beta on the whole crew with a damage of zero and best still, U got to learn Beta in the very early stage.
