MAIN WEAPON devouring everything in its path and sending it to another dimension
CHARACTERISTIC It is a huge black shadow in the earth whose real shadow is the floating black globe above in the air


It appeared above Tokyo-3 from nowhere and swallowed an intercepting Eva-01, sending it to the "Sea of Diliac", a dimension in another space and time.
It was defeated when a berserk Eva-01 after losing all its internal power, re-activated and forced its way out of the Angel.
This was the episode that Eva-01 first used its handgun.
