| When Eva-03 was transported from the United States to Japan, it passed
thru a strange cumulus cloud and was believed to have been infected there
by the 13th Angel. During a synchronization test with the 4th children selected to pilot the Eva, it activated and destroyed the research facility at Matsushiro. It was intercepted by Eva-00 and Eva-02 but was easily defeated by an infected Eva-03. Eva-01 intercepted and with the help of the dummy-plug that was initiated after Shinji refused to eliminate the angel in fear of harming the pilot, it was defeated. |
