| The year it appeared like all the succeeding Angels was in the year
2015. Fifteen years after the 2nd angel appeared Sachiel also known as the 3rd Angel is a self-learning, self-rejuvenating and self-evolving being. It was its attack on Japan that proved that conventional weapons are no matched against the Angels and it was also this time that the UN command handed all operations to defeat the Angels to the Special UN organization body called NERV. It was also its attack that EVA-01 was first launched and after the rampage of EVA-01 to defeat the Angel, it self-destructed. The explosions created by its blasting eye beams and subsequent self-destruction are in the form of a cross.. |
