This was the first time a fight betwen an Angel and Eva Robot was done under water.
It was also the episode that made the debut of Eva-02 and its pilot Asuka Langley. In this chapter, we saw for the first time the main weapon of Eva-02 which is the SB: Sonic Blade.
The Angel was defeated by a plan of Misato to sink two ships and firing inside the Angel's mouth with the help from Eva-02
This Angel was searching for the "Adam" that Kaji was bringing to Japan.
