COMMENTS

  • The only child of Gendou and Yui Ikari but stayed with a teacher's house before he was called by his father (in the comic it was Yui's brother who took care of him)
  • The very first time he was happy was when his father praised him for performing well in defeating Sahaquiel, the 10th Angel.
  • He resigned from Nerv twice but on the 3rd time he went back to Nerv to pilot Eva-01, it was his decision to do so, the very first time he did anything he really wanted.
  • He lost the will to live after he killed his best friend Kaworu Nagisa, but has no courage to take his own life.
  • He discovered that Rei Ayanami is part clone of his mother and avoided her as much as possible after finding it out.
  • He masturbated in front of Soryu Asuka Langley in the movie: REBIRTH when Asuka was suffering from shock in the hospital
