 Evangelion SynopsisUnfortunately, I have not been able to create any synopsis yet, so I'll connect you to the best place I know;Literal Translation Project for accurate translations of the TV episodes.For the movies: Evangelion; Revelation or: 
The year is 2015 A.D., and the horrible monsters from the skies code-named "Angels arrive atTokyo-3. 14-year-old Ikari Shinji receives a message from his father, Ikari Gendou, the Commander of NERV who had abandoned him for 8 years. Shinji has been selected by Marduk reports as "First Children" to pilot the 0-9 System Artificial Humanoid Weapons System EVANGELION 01. Shinji feels absolutely enraged by his father who wanted him only to get into the EVA and fight against the Angel. With his refusal Ikari Gendou then decides to let Ayanami Rei who is badly hurt from the last tests to board EVA-01 and pilot it. As Rei was preparing to enter, the Angel struck and damaged the Geofront, and a huge bulkhead nearly smashed Shinji, who was protected by EVA-01. Shinji then decides not to run away but to enter the EVA-saving Rei from having to do it-going against the Angel Sachiel. First debut of Ikari Shinji, Ayanami Rei, Katsuragi Misato, Akagi Ritsuko, Ikari Gendou, Ibuki Maya, and EVA-01.
Without any knowledge, training, or synchronization about EVA-01, Shinji pilots EVA-01 to fight with Angel, reaching 47% on the synchrotron at first try. At first, EVA-01's left hand was broken by Sachiel as EVA-01 fell from walking, then the head armor was compromised as the Angel's beam cracked through it. Synchrotron began reversing, life signs were cut, and EVA-01 was overcomed by "berserker fury" and restarts again to fight with Angel, destroying Sachiel's arm in payback, then pounding on the red orb when Sachiel wrapped himself on EVA-01 and self-destructed, leaving only EVA-01. After Sachiel is killed, Katsuragi Misato became the guardian of Shinji when she discovered that he was meant to live alone. They first stopped in front of a hill overlooking Tokyo-3 and watched as the great city come out of it's shell and return to magnificence. Misato's house turned out to be entirely dirty, full of beer, instant foods, and bras and panties about. Misato and Shinji began playing Janken-pon (Rock, Paper, Scissors) with Shinji stuck with most of the house duties and having an instant food dinner, with Misato gulping down beer like water. Shinji also met his new roomie, PenPen when he went to get his bath, shocked seeing a hot-spring penguin in the apartment. First debut of PenPen.
The training courses for Shinji has begun and Shinji trains everyday after school on the EVA-01 and aim. He has no friends at all and he stays at home everyday after training. One day, his classmates find out that his true identity as the EVA pilot and he becomes the famous person in his class. Suzuhara Touji, however, beat him up after school to "avenge" his sister that was put into a hospital, because of EVA-01's first battle. Shamshiel arrives, and EVA-01 was sent to terminate it. EVA-01's first barrage of bullets did absolutely nothing that hampered the Angel, and was thrown off into a a nearby cliff, losing it's power. Touji and Kensuke were caught watching the entire occurances instead of being in the shelter, and EVA-01 was forced to open it's entry plug to allow them inside. As Shinji destroys the Angel Touji sees how tormented Shinji really is, and becomes his friend later. First debut of Horaki Hikari, Aida Kensuke, Suzuhara Touji.
Shinji runs away again, seeking to find some form of peace of mind, leaving his NERV ID card and a letter to Misato. He then rides about in a train and walked all around every streets in Tokyo-3. At this time he met his classmate Aida Kensuke, near a forest. Kensuke then offers him dinner, rest, and companionship in the small camp he has. NERV agents caught up to Ikari Shinji and brought to NERV's brig and left there. Shinji then officially resigns, and waits for his train out of the city. Misato drives her car to catch up to him and persuade him not to go, and succeeded. Shinji returns home with Misato and goes back to work in NERV.
Flashback of the episode that caused Rei's injury, from EVA-00 going berserk to Ikari Gendou saving Rei. Shinji then begins to study the personality of Rei and how she can be so cold, yet smile normally with his father, and eliciting the same emotion from Gendou. Shinji gets sent to give Rei her new NERV security ID, and had a small "accident" at the time. Angel Ramiel arrives, and damages EVA-01 badly, since EVA-01 got caught and it's release mechanism was jammed.
EVA-01 is safely returned back to HQ and Ramiel begins firing randomly on the top, looking for the Geofront. Shinji hurt greatly but capable of returning back to service. Misato's operation Yashima approved to terminate Ramiel. EVA-00 and EVA-01, at midnight, will use an experimental proton rifle which will drain half of Japan's electricity, while EVA-00 protects it with a shield. EVA-01's first shot missed, as did Ramiel's, and on the second one Ramiel has been terminated. EVA-00 heavily damaged afterwards from Ramiel's second shot. Both pilots are unharmed.
A HUMAN WORK Misato and Ritsuko is sent to Old Tokyo to attend the exhibition of Nippon Heavy Industry Solidarity's replacement for EVAs. A new robot called "JA" or Jet Alone which uses nuclear energy has been introduced. During the activation experiment, JA becomes uncontrollable and cannot be stopped, being re-programmed. The temperature inside JA becomes higher and higher, without any vents open to rid the radiation and heat. Misato then calls in EVA-01 and Shinji to put her in a Radiation suit on top of the JA, where she will enter and manually erase all the JA programming and bringing it to a complete stop with the password "hope." When all seems lost, with 0.1% until meltdown, and Misato barely getting one of the ventral control rods inside, a new programming re-writes JA's reactions and stops the meltdown. Who is the one that caused JA to go berserk, and then stop it from exploding?
ASUKA STRIKES! EVA-02 and the 2nd Children Soryu Asuka Langley have been sent to Japan by UN Pacific Fleet called with the Carrier Flagship "Over the Rainbow". Misato brings Shinji, Touji and Kensuke with her to the main fleet to have a "date," but most likely bringing Shinji as a spare pilot. Asuka makes a scene with Touji, and ending up with Touji getting slapped twice. They all have a break with Asuka and Misato's ex-boyfriend, Kaji Ryouji who is sent to take care of Asuka until she arrives at Japan. (Kaji and Misato were playing footsies under the table at the time too ^^) Gagiel arrives and begin destroying the UN cruisers and destroyers, seemingly looking for something. Asuka drags an unwitting Shinji to her EVA, EVA-02 to do battle with Gagiel. EVA-02 turned out to be wearing B-suit armor, and in so cannot fight underwater. Kaji escapes from the fleet on a VTOL Russian aircraft, leaving Misato in a very miffed position. EVA-02 was thrown into the water by Gagiel as it wrestles with Gagiel on the carrier. EVA-02 was then "eaten" by Gagiel, and out came a game of "fishing." Misato made up a plan of sinking the two remaining Destroyers, which would enter the Angel's mouth, fire it's load, and then self-destruct, destroying the Angel. In the last few moments EVA-02 couldn't open the mouth, and then the Synchroton surged as both Shinji and Asuka worked together to open up the mouth. Angel terminated, and EVA-02, as well as ADAM was delivered. First debut of Soryu Asuka Langley, Ryouji Kaji, ADAM, and EVA-02.
Shinji and Asuka's first joint combat flopped miserably as Israphel got separated into two parts, acting in constant synchronacy. Angel's onslaught was temporarily ended with N2 mines. Shinji and Asuka are then required to live together for "synchronizing" with each other. 2nd battle was fought to a musical dance beat, and both Israphel was defeated with both EVAs plunging their Prog knives at about the same time in the Angels' orb.
Inside Mt. Asama the 8th Angel Sandalphon was found. NERV sent it's EVA-02 and pilot Asuka into the volcano in a Type-D suit, looking like a giant oversized person, much to Asuka's chagrin. Angel was first captured, but then the Angel "hatched" and Asuka terminated it. EVA-02 was nearly lost with 4 of the 5 supports destroyed and the 5th waning, but was saved by EVA-01.
Tokyo-3's entire electrical supply was cut off, leaving Tokyo-3 totally powerless and defenseless. The 3 EVA pilots made their way to the EVAs after they saw the next Angel, Matriel. Asuka led the bunch but was most likely also the one that got them lost at the time. Kaji and Misato were trapped in the same elevator. Everyone blamed Ritsuko first when the electricity went out, thinking it's one of her experiments. Matriel destroyed by a joint effort between all 3 EVAs, with Shinji claiming the kill, as he fired the machine gun and destroyed the Angel.
Flashback to 15 years ago when Misato was saved by her father, who she despised the most during the Second Impact. She then joins NERV to in a way avenge her father, yet not becoming like him. Misato is also promoted from Captain to Major in this episode, which the EVA pilots and their friends celebrated on. Angel Tzachquiel arrives in outer space, and begins using parts of itself as bombs destroying areas on the Earth. The three EVAs worked together again to stop this Angel from flattening Tokyo-3 and all it's inhabitants from this menace.
In one of the many Synchronization tests to refine and learn more about EVA, all three EVA pilots are put in to EVA simulation bodies without anything on to have a clear reading on direct body to EVA synchronization. However, the Geofront has been compromised as 11th Angel Iroul invaded and begun taking over the MAGIs, cracking all the codes and prompting Melchior to propose self-destructing the entire area.
NERV's superiors, founders of the Human Instrumentality Project, and the ADAM project founder SEELE's (German:Soul) part in the entire EVANGELION story is explained, from it's following of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and of it's wanting to begin taking a more active part in the Human Instrumentality Project, not thoroughly trusting Ikari Gendou's decisions....
Misato, Ritsuko and Kaji have been invited to a wedding party. After the party, they all went to a bar to have a drink and talk of old times. Misato calls back to Shinji, telling him that she will be late. Asuka and Shinji had a curious kiss later that night. As Misato returns home with Kaji, they talk of why they parted their ways...
Shinji's synchronization rate with the EVA has surpassed Asuka's, making him the best of the three, as well as getting Asuka miffed. Angel Leriel appears, and with Shinji's new confidence with himself, he is absorbed into the Sea of Dirac, the body of Leriel. The EVA begins losing power, and as Shinji is about to die, the EVA has another "berserker fit," cutting out of the Angel with it's Prog knife, stopping NERV from requiring to drop all remaining 99 N2 mines into the Angel and blow it up to save EVA-01. Shinji survives without little or no injuries at all.
The United States' NERV branch completed it's own EVA, EVA-04, who when testing the S2 organ wipes out the entire area, leaving no trace of the NERV branch or EVA. NERV has also installed a dummy plug into EVA-01, regarding it as useful under an experimental basis. The search for the Fourth Children has also begun as EVA-03 will arrive in Tokyo-3 within 2 weeks' time.
The Fourth Children has been found, and he is now pilotting EVA-03 testing the S2 organ at Nobeyama test site. However, during the activation at the 2nd underground laboratory at Matsushiro Angel Haldiel took over EVA-03. EVAs 00, 01, and 02 are ordered to destroy the now Angel EVA-03. EVA-00's right arm was penetrated, and cut off from NERV HQ, while EVA-01's pilot refused to terminate EVA-04, because it had a Children in it. Ikari Gendou ordered Ibuki Maya to switch the connection from the pilot to the dummy plug, who totally trashed EVA-03. 4th Children's identity was later told to Shinji, telling him that it was Suzuhara Touji. Touji had extreme casualties: Loss of an arm and a leg.
With EVA-01 repelling Zalel, EVA-01 "engulfs" Shinji's soul as it breaks the human bindings. It absorbs the entire entry plug and the Angel's S2 organ, leaving nothing more than a watery mass as Shinji's existence. In a second attempt to retrieve it's pilot from EVA-01, NERV counts down the days until the entry plug ejection plan can begin....
This episode takes the entire storyline to the time after the Second Impact, where Gehirn and NERV is born, "birth" of Ayanami Rei, rise of Human Instrumentality project and Project-E, development of MAGI, death of both Ikari Yui and Akagi Naoko, all from the mind of Sub-Commander Kouzou.
Asuka is set in a depressed and horrible mood, when she keeps on failing to terminate any Angels. This is, in short, the final make-it-or-break-it test for Asuka if she is to keep on pilotting EVA-02 by destroying the Angel Arael. EVA-01 is still frozen from it's past problem with it taking the pilot's soul, so is out of action. Asuka then gets mentally "raped" by Arael, and begins witnessing her mother's suicide again. EVA-00 is given permission to pull out Lancea Longini, the last resort, and kill Arael with it....
Ayanami Rei is captured and penetrated, as EVA-00 tries to stop Almisael from taking and destroying Tokyo-3. In a process of self-thought, she realizes that she is in love with Shinji, and for him to live, is for EVA-00 to self-destruct and take the angel with it. Rei's and the dummy plug's history are exposed as Ritsuko opens up the area which holds Rei clones, and then destroys it.
Tokyo-3 is heavily damaged, and Shinji is without any friends, with everyone evacuating the city. Nagisa Kaoru then arrives, as the replacement pilof for EVA-02, with Asuka mentally traumatized, and befriends Shinji. As NERV learns that Kaoru's synch ratio with EVA-02 is strangely high, it would turn out that Shinji and Kaoru are meant to be enemies after all... *Note:Evangelion episodes 25 & 26 got weird and chaotic(in my opinion, of course), so watch out!*
The 17th, and final Angel has been terminated, and all earthly peace has returned. Shinji, however, is totally depressed and cries out against the termination of Kaoru, who he believes should live instead of Shinji. The Human Instrumentality Project begins.....
The smashing ending of EVANGELION, where the year is 2016, and the Human Instrumentality Project begins, elevating humanity to it's next level, from this degrading and mundane existence.
The Movies  EVANGELION; DEATH & REBIRTHEVANGELION: DEATH & REBIRTH The Angels of the Dead Sea Scrolls has been destroyed, Asuka is in mental trauma and camatose, Shinji is without any form of companionship, Rei self-destructed to save Tokyo-3, and Misato learns the true secrets of both Angels and the Second Impact. SEELE works it's way to the Instrumentality of Man Project. Enraged with Gendou's refusal to start the Third Impact had them hack the MAGI, which was deflected as Ritsuko was pardoned to work on a '666' program to deflect this blow. When all seems to be saved, SEELE persuades the UN committee that NERV wants to commence the Third Impact, and had UN sanctify a Special group off to take over NERV, capture EVA-01, ADAM, LILITH, and kill all Childrens. Misato manages to save Shinji before he was shot by soldiers, and Rei III has been "born." A last command by Misato before saving Shinji was putting the camatose Asuka inside EVA-02, one of the safest place to be at the attack. Asuka keeps fighting with her inner self and finally wins control over her funk, and synchronized fully with EVA-02 again. Asuka fights off the outer conventional weapons of the UN special forces, but her umbilical cord was cut down, leaving her 5 minutes, but enough to destroy all the forces. The tide of battle changes as the new Production Models EVA-05-13 with Kaoru dummy plugs arrives and prepares to battle EVA-02.  THE END OF EVANGELIONTHE END OF EVANGELION EVA-02 began winning against the S2 EVAs first, but then they regenerate quickly and badly damaged EVA-02. Misato was able to get Shinji to EVA-01's entry hatch, but on the way was killed saving Shinji from being shot. Her last wish was Shinji pilotting the EVA and destroying it with the Lancea Longini that's stuck on the moon before the people in SEELE can use it for the Third Impact. At this very time Gendou was also having his own Third Impact, standing in front of Lilith with Rei. Ritsuko tries to stop him with a gun and tried to self-destruct NERV, but was over-ridden by MAGI Casper. Gendou then confesses he loves her, and she called him a liar, as she was shot by Gendou. EVA-02 ran out of time, and was deactivated. All the S2 EVAs rejuvenated and then killed EVA-02 with their lances, then started "eating" it. Shinji was still shell-shocked at this time, and with a hand from EVA-01, he boards the EVA once again to carry out Misato's last wish. It was all in vain, as when Lancea Longini came down, it was intercepted by the S2 EVAs, beginning the Third Impact, and apocalypse happens to the world as EVAs form in the format of Sephiroth, the Tree of Life....
