Kaji belongs to the Department of Special Inspection in NERV, as well as the Department of Interior of Japan, the Department of Inquiry. He came with Asuka via Pacific Fleet(UN) and EVA-02 at Episode 8(Slap! Asuka Strikes!). He was then transfered to work at NERV officially but to spy on NERV unofficially. Kaji meets up with his old college buddies Katsuragi Misato and Akagi Ritsuko, who he tries to put the moves on. Kaji then starts telling Misato little secrets about Nerv....and why it was created.......
