Episode 3: Hajimete no Tokimeki, Hajimete no Shutsugeki (First Love, First Battle)
The Luxion Fleet encounters space monsters in the Leaf-64 Quadrant, and the Top Squadron sees real action for the first time. Kazumi, concerned about Noriko's lack of ability, tells Noriko that she intends to dissolve their partnership. In the midst of despair, Noriko finds herself strongly attracted to Smith, a handsome young male pilot.

Episode 4: Hasshin! Mikansei no Saishuu Heiki! (Launch of the Unfinished Ultimate Weapon)
Noriko throws herself into intense training. Shaking off her terror of battle isn't so easy, though. The Exelion Fleet returns to Sol System. The Space Monsters have followed it, however, and their sneak attack nearly destroys the fleet. To save her fellow crewmembers, Noriko boards the unfinished superweapon, GunBuster!
