He has perfected his own fighting technique that permits the simultaneous use of two blades, and for that has been nicknamed through Pars "The Shogun with twin swords" (Taahiiru). He patrolls his fortress with his only companion, an eagle he raised and named Azrael, eagle that soars to the skies and shreeks when battle starts, an eagle he calls "Kokushitenshi", the angel telling death. Note: The eagle's actual name is Azrael / (Azurai as mispronounced by Arslan in OVA2), the messenger of Allah and Angel of Death in muslim religion. Hence the appelation of "Kokushitenshi", direct translation of Azrael's title. Kokushitenshi is also the name of one of the Arslan Senki theme songs.
