No, no, they're not mutually exclusive. You can defend both Iris and Sumire
at the same time. Of course, there would be conflict between Defenders of
Kanna and Defenders of Sumire, but it's all good, 'cause I think we're all
mature enough to accept the fact that it's Sumire who always starts the
fights between the two.;)
As for Sumire, I like her a lot. Not as much as Kanna, of course, but I
think she's a cool character. I especially like how she's mellowed a little
in ST2 (showing more affection towards the other characters and stuff). I
thought it was especially cool how, when it turned out that she'd become
engaged to some creep so the Hanagumi wouldn't lose its funding, Kanna
immediately leapt to the rescue. That says a lot about how much Kanna cares
for Sumire (and if Sumire's good enough for Kanna to consider her a close
friend, then she's good enough for me to consider her a cool character ^_-).
Sumire's got a noble and generous heart, though she'd never admit it. And
you've gotta love the laugh...
